Edit: they took 9 months to zone us and charged arrears. The website features the ability to pay council taxes online, but makes absolutely no allowance for those who have not received a reference number. We have been in the property for nearly two months, but have received no such number. No doubt the council will want to charge us arrears, once this is sorted, despite the issue being on their end. One must choose to either go on racking up these arrears, or sit on a phone line for the best part of an hour. No doubt if one chooses not to sit on this line, they are held liable for the failure to pay, as if the council can mandate this immensely frustrating and wasteful expenditure of your time. I'll happily amend this review if I am proven wrong on any point.

the water was WAY colder than expected. I was assaulted by another swimmer and he had the right to sue me???. All in all, it was a great experience.

When you phone and the staff can’t answer a question they cut you off . They just can’t give you correct information because they are not trained.

I've had contact with many different departments in Waltham Forest council as an active member of the community and a business owner in the Borough. I have been very impressed by the consistent, high level of professionalism and sincere concern for the community shown by all staff. It's not an easy job keeping so many, diverse people happy, but I honestly find that Waltham Forest council works hard to do right by the people who live here. My husband and I are very grateful to them for their efforts and hope that they'll keep the standards high.
