I had a lovely guy help me John Renouf?? Sorry if that is spelt wrong. He helped with a rat problem with an elderly lady I support. He was amazing, organised, helped put us at ease and friendly. I can't praise him enough for the work and help we received from him. The man deserves a medal. I want to say a massive thank you for his lovely attitude to his job and how promt he was with dealing with the problem.. 5 stars from us
Let's talk about Cambridge City Council and it's endless victims it has made with its shoddy work ethics and blatant lies by its housing officers one deleted their public profile recently after leaving a family with no heating or water . Georgia Rice ex police officer ex domestic abuse counselling. But has no problem leaving Tennants in bad living conditions fact . Should be ashamed of her self . Don't trust this council or its workers .all will play victim sooner or later . What a joke shop . Anyone else with similar experiences I'd love to hear from you ..come join failings of Cambridge City Council on FB or our YouTube channel or tiktok .. come have your say .let's make a difference in our town .and expose those that have let you down and continue to leave people in conditions not fit for animals . Absolutely disgusting council. They put satanic housing references on people's first home, then bully them for the next 5 years in housing when they refuse it. Their whole homelink system is corrupt to the core...Simon hunt head of housing refuses contact and bars you from service when you request an in person meeting. Corrupt lot!! These lot are the soul reason I want to leave Cambridge...up yours for the way you lot have treated me..deadbeat group

Review on the city council, not the city. As a taxpayer feel let down by poorly managed by the incompetent local government. To name few failures: badly maintained roads and sidewalks, unmonitored parking, balooned housing construction projects paired with shortage of water and other essential resources, etc. Overall, really incompetent city planning in conjunction with total lack of accountability. What to expet where the major seat passes from husband to wife?
Visited here when I was issued a handsome tax bill last month despite being eligible for exemption as a full-time student. The place is usually empty and the staff are very friendly and understanding. Apparently, my apartment was recently occupied by a taxpaying occupant and my status was not updated. They guided me on how to get documentation proof of studentship. It was a long process but I ended up with a bill of approximately £10 which I could manage. It was also refreshing to see the customer service centre was housed in a building called Mandela house.
Don't know where to begin with my concerns about what goes on here. All I know is I'm just done with Cambridge authorities. Mamy of you know my stories as Nd manynof you will get to hear them. Id need to write a book of complaints but have many also in the queue first !
Got a PCN for a poorly signed area of city, appealed, no issue really at this point but response slow and generic and went in email junk, followed up, the next generic response went in junk again, lost the will at this point so paid, like the council near me face to face or over the phone resolution of issues is now virtually non existent and emails not much better, god knows what they spaff all our taxes on because it's not efficient, accountable or competent public services.
There is no accountability at this place. They have not collected my blue bins for over 1 week past due and very blasé about it. There's no skin off their back
