I arrived with my hungry family around lunchtime for a meal after reading good things about the pub online, where several sources including their own website state that they serve food. Upon arrival, we asked if they served food and were simply told 'no'. We found another pub nearby that were very accommodating. I can't give a decent score as we were made to feel silly and there was literally no explanation given. The website needs updating at least, to stop others wasting their time. The garden did look nice and the interior seemed traditionally charming but we didn't hang around.

Traditional old english style country pub with a beautiful landscaped garden at the rear (this cannot be seen from the road). Has live bands that are fantastic to listen, sing and dance along to. Whilst quiet daytime during the week, it is usually busy at weekends. There is a trendy crowd here who make you feel welcome. Suitable for families with children (i think children are not allowed after 9pm) and dogs welcome on a lead. Great place to go for a drink and enjoy the country air on a sunny day in the garden.
