I went their for a meal and ended up staying for the pub quiz. Was a great night out in a lovely local pub which also has very friendly staff. The food was excellent and portion size was good to. They also have a lovely big tv for sports as well so will be going their for the World Cup in the summer.

Very enjoyable evening it is my local pub so have been there many times before good staff very helpful will go again on new year's eve to watch Sky Football.

3 of us were on a 2 week course nearby and we heard good things about The Wheatsheaf so we thought it would be rude not to investigate for ourselves. The pub is clearly a locals pub but with a friendly welcoming atmosphere, they have a good selection of drinks and a comprehensive menu. I personally would recommend the beef and ale pie with chips and gravy! All the meals seem to be good hearty portions thought! We enjoyed our visit so much we decided to return multiple times during our course. Cannot fault the staff as they were pleasant and helpful. Thanks!
