Even without being able to go into the Castle itself the Gardens are worth a visit even in winter as while you won't see a lot of flowers there are plenty of paths through the woodland areas with interesting things to see and read. The kids can also let of steam in a number of play areas.
Great romp around thed grounds and gardens. Couldn't go in thd Castle itself because of lock down but that didn't matter. Kids loved it which was the main thing.
This is my favourite heritage site on the kent coast. The gardens are always so beautiful the interior though small are still very impressive and well looked after. the cafes are well run. all in all can not fault this castle and it’s staff.
Really nice castle and grounds. There is a good walk in the grounds with a pond, kitchen garden and a shop/cafe
