I grew up in Deal in 80s/90s and worked for Graham when I was in my late teens. Went back 30 years later to find that ostensibly the feel is exactly the same as it ever was. Low lit, wonderful authentic pub feel. The layout and tables are exactly the same. And lovely food and service. Graham is every bit as warm and friendly as the pub he has run what seems like forever. What's even more telling is that anyone I speak to about their visits to Deal always remark about 'that pub with all the lovely flowers and tables out the front'. Graham has created a focal point that all visitors remember and love.
A great traditional pub! Really friendly and helpful staff behind the bar. We had lunch which was really nicely cooked and the choice included pub favourites such as fish&chips/gammon,egg& chips and burgers. The beer cider and wine choices were also good. We had a great afternoon!
Went for Easter Sunday lunch there was 5 adults. The food was really nice good value for money. Service was not great but it was extremely busy. Will definitely return.Service: 3/5
Lovely warm and clean rooms. Food is great! Staff are very pleasant and can't do enough for you.. Only negative is parking, you need to check the area for the best carpark for your time here..
The Kings Head has always been at the centre of things in Deal, in particular during the summer when the outside area thrives and the flower boxes are in full beam. The landlord is a long-term resident and knows his trade. The pub also does decent meals and is a cosy place in the winter when not too busy. Can be a bit expensive for drinks, but a must visit on a Deal pub crawl.
Brilliant as usual, lovely food lovely service and a cosy atmosphere, very recommendable but you have to book for a big dinner if many of you.
Where can I begin.......superb B&B great pub, great food, friendly staff & very well run establishment. The only problem was parking because the car park nearby is 3hrs max. But that's the council fault not the King's Head. Definitely be staying again in the very near future!
Lonely pub, has that "proper pub feel". Caters for a lot - good place for a party at weekends with good music at times, good food and a range of drinks. In the summer, they organise great drinks outside.
Great little hotel on the sea front, pub below but room v quiet, friendly staff and a lovely breakfast and competitive pricing. Public car parks are plentiful and electric chargers x 2 150 yards/meters away.
I was in a gorgeous sea view, double room, metres from the beach. The room and bathroom were spotless, with a very comfortable bed. Lovely general decor and amazing window~flower boxes. Lovely, obliging, staff. Minutes away from main shopping streets and ice cream & fish & chip shops by the beach. I had a superb time.
