Travelled all the way to Wigan just to visit this comic shop, and was looking forward to it. What a waste of time. Owner is very, very arrogant and rude. Will not let customers look at their older stock because he "speculates" on comics, and what he did eventually root out for me (and made me wait half an hour for) he checked every price against ebay and considerably overcharged on top of that. Just how stupid do you think I am? This is just plain rude and stupid on his part. Told me his comics are mint, he has no idea - they are nowhere near! No, I will put my money into ebay next time, and save myself a fortune - so do not insult me and then expect to get my money, that is shameful. Should have saved myself the fuel money and just shopped on ebay, with an awful attitude like this it is little wonder bricks and mortar shops are going under. Awful experience and I won't be going back again. Wouldn't recommend them at all, daylight robbery here. And now he has the gall to reply to my review trying to do discredit me on a personal level. I personally have twenty plus years experience with buying, collecting, grading and selling comic books and have experience sending comics to CGC for grading so don't you dare tell me I know nothing about grading comics - because it is you who doesn't. Apparently I have been called the "worst customer" the shop has ever had, been called "obnoxious" and a liar just because I left a 1 star review. Well HE is the liar and in TOTAL DENIAL, would rather blame me for his awful behaviour. This shop has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever suffered in 20 years of this industry. Look at the rest of my reviews on google and my great relationships with many many other comic shops in the region. WHY WOULD I MAKE THIS UP. WHAT WOULD I ACTUALLY HAVE TO GAIN????? Hope this shows people what is TRUE. My recommendation to people is avoid this place entirely - it is just not worth the hassle.

the review by Paul Kirby is what we expected from him , he was the worst customer the comic shop has had since it open , very very obnoxious was told when he rang by phone that the older stock is not on sale in the shop and is listed on ebay only , was told in store when he still came that it would be ebay prices , and still made me check on 30 comics for him then only bought one at the end of making me do nearly an hour working out prices for him , he had a big snide grin on his face when he only picked one as to say ive just p### you about , and he doesn't know anything about grading comics , over 4000 customers state that our grading is spot on , so tell you all you need to know about Paul Kirby

Excellent shop for a good variety of wallpaper and paints. You can still get some nice vinyl papers which to me, is very easy to apply, long lasting and can be easily wiped over. Your local DIY shops do not seem to carry as good quality/variety of papers. Well done Wigan Wallpaper Supplies!
