I LOVE this shop. Never not got what I went in for and usually a whole lot more! Very good on price, customer toilets rare these days cafe upstairs and a customer lift too. My go to place to be honest.
The Range itself is great. Majority of the staff at the Wigan branch are half asleep. For a long time now, no matter when you go there is always only one person on the till. No sorry for your wait, thanks or nothing. Employ people who actually know how to talk to people and provide the service. I walked out tonight because i've seen snails work quicker.
Been a while since I've been there. Xmas stuff is all on sale, just in case you want to have a look. Bought the food containers I wanted, will go back for the under bed ones as well.
Good products. However, so understaffed. Price tickets usually wrong, never anyone around to ask for help. Once I spent 2 hours here, after shopping I went to the cafe while my baby slept...a few weeks later was hit with a parking fine for being on the car park too long.
Only 2 tills open and queues of around 25 people. Great range of products but queuing to pay put me of visiting again unless absolutely necessary. Till assistant was obviously feeling the stress and was polite but very robotic and automated in his responses.
It's ok labeling of stock is poor at the till is poor also sometimes unmanned good variety of stock tho
Went into The Range for frosted vinyl for my daughters bedroom windows. Well... I ended up will a load of other items & my living room redecorated in my head. There's a huge range of soft furnishings curtains, custions, throws etc, storage items, DIY items paint, wallpaper, brushes masking-tape etc, laundry items hangers, ironingboards, pegs .... I could go on & on. There's even a little café upstairs to take a break from fantasising about completely redecorating your home And there's plenty of free parking, which is really handy too.
Both myself and my husband have problems with stairs, the lift has been broken now for about 6 months. We stopped going to the store a few months ago and today my son took us for a ride, asked again if the lift was now working to be told it hadn't and an engineer was due that day, my son said the lift was crammed full off stock all around so they definitely were not expecting an engineer. My husband went to the toilet and said it was a disgrace the urinal was blocked with wee and had overflowed onto the floor ,my husband went into the cubicle and that was flooded too. He told the girl at customer service desk she said she would get it sorted right away my husband tried the toilet again before we left and it hadn't been done , disgraceful
Terrible from start to finish. The entry road was not clearly marked as one way. The tills are being refurbished so the only checkout was customer service desk. The exit was barracaded and a small path had been left open for customers to leave the shop, however this was not clear and I ended up walking all the way rou d and then back again trapped inside! Not a nice experience all in all and I won't be returning anytime soon.
I bought some lights from here and when I opened the box the plug was missing! I went back to Southport Range as I was in the area and explained I had no receipt however I just want to swap I don't want a refund.. they explained they could go on the system and find my receipt for me if I had bought them from Southport but sadly because I didn't buy them from that store they couldn't help, which I understood. I then went back to Range Wigan where I bought them from. I told them I had no receipt but they could search on their system like southport did to find my proof of purchase to swap the lights but instead they decided to inform me that they can't do that and that without the receipt I would have to keep the broken lights!!! I paid £50 for a broken set of lights and they won't replace them for me knowing full well I bought them from their store!! Not impressed and terrible customer service! I'd understand if I had wanted a refund!!! But to just simply swap them for a set that had all the pieces, I wasn't asking much!
