After reading all the brilliant reviews on here, I decided to use Savoy. I only needed 2 full size sheets of plywood at 9mm. Ordered last Saturday for Monday morning delivery.. Driver turns up on Monday with 2 of the most warped and bowed sheets I've seen. Tells me they'll pull back when fixed! Err, no pal, they need to be cut into panels. Rang the office, got told they don't think have any straight ply sheets in stock!? Tried to deliver another 2 sheets on Tuesday afternoon now lost almost 2 days to waiting, but I'm sure these were the same exact sheets. They were also strapped down to the lorry bed, in a vein attempt to get me to accept them. Got to go back for a refund this morning. Sure, they may be a good company for certain things from the look of these reviews but if you want Plywood, go somewhere else!.. UPDATED WITH IMAGE 29/01/23 Practically unheard of, eh Savoy?!
Great customer service and it has everything you need for home repair or renovation. I would have given them 5 stars if their delivery driver didn't leave a 100 pound piece of timber in our front garden in plain view instead of delivering it last on his route as we requested.
I'm over the moon with my purchase. I couldn't find anywhere that would sell me a 1m piece of worktop. Found Savoy Timber Ltd and they do loads with so many designs. My order was delivered two days early and wrapped brilliantly. No damage and just perfect. Well done Savoy Timber.
Excellent service. Lisa in store extremely helpful. Ordered six internal doors Sunday afternoon and they were delivered Monday morning. Driver carried them in and stacked them neatly. Would highly recommend.
Good stocks of wood and advice. Shop is well stocked for sundries and friendly staff helping you get what you need. Highly recommended for wood laminate doors anything wood or accessories
We have just bought a number of replacement internal doors from Savoy and found them to be a most helpful firm to deal with. It is a long time since I received such excellent customer service coupled with helpful advice and prices for their products are very competitive. I would have no hesitation in returning to them for any of our DIY needs in the future.
Been in today to pick up 2 kitchen worktops. They do a cutting service while you wait so had them cut to fit in the back of my van. Quick and efficient
Cheaper than the Big Orange Warehouse! We nipped to Savoy after being unable to get what we wanted from B&Q. We got what we wanted and also found a product we had purchased at B & Q for half the price! They have a cutting bench so they can cut wood to size which I think is a great advantage!
Normally I get good service from here but yesterday I was ignored then not offered any help to load the wood onto the car. Very rude man in wood cutting shop. Last week had an entirely different experience the guy couldn't have been more helpful.
Staff again very helpful especially when discussing internal door options. Got the timber I was after and all cut at no extra charge. Will be going back
