We had a really nice two nights at Walkers Cottage Camping whilst the Hay Festival was on. The owners were lovely and always on hand whilst never being in the way. The site itself is small and peaceful, clean and friendly. Even when at capacity as it was when we went it didn’t feel like the facilities were overwhelmed.
Lovely place. Friendly owners. Nice and natural settings. Loved to be there, and would love to come again. Highly Recommended.

We visited on the hottest days this summer 2020 and enjoyed our stay at this back to basics campsite very much. The views are phenomenal, and fantastic dark skies for stargazing when sun goes down. The owners are friendly and helpful. Facilities as described, composting loo, good washing up area/campers' kitchen, basic shower, all just adds to the charm. We ate at the Offgrid Gourmet on site and 150% recommend for quality and value. I think if it was busy it would be tricky to find a level plot, but perhaps that's the price for everything else. Highly recommended
A real gem near Hay-on-Wye - on the rustic, friendly side of campsites. Fantastic location and people, great facilities including an in-door kitchen and lounge for campers with useful appliances. I was hiking the Wye valley walk at the time so I very much enjoyed having a space to hide away from the elements, have a hot drink and dry my things! I visited in March so the campsite was very quiet and a bit muddy on the way down to my pitch, but I'd love to visit again in the Summer to experience it in full swing! Their little shop with eggs, jams, French sweets and artwork is a thoughtful plus if you fancy a treat or want a souvenir. Altogether a brilliant experience :-
Great tidy and clean campsite with lovely views. Facilities include an 'Eco' composting toilet and a flushing toilet quite a walk from camping area, hot shower, large kitchen/indoor area - great for a rainy day, small honesty farm shop and tea garden. The cottage has lovely well-kept gardens with happy chickens skipping around and a field of sociable sheep. Lovely friendly atmosphere.
The owner was very friendly and accommodated us last minute very late at night. He even leant us his lamp for the night so we could set up our tents. Hot shower, flushing toilet available and very nice views in the morning. 100% recommended.
Great little camp site with good views. Composting toilet and flush toilet up the hill near the house. Great location overlooking the Wye Valley and easy to get to Hay-on-Wye. Site is on a slope but some flat spots at the bottom, it's a bit of a walk to the toilets etc. Fires are allowed off the ground and they sell wood and other bits in the honesty shop.
Great campsite with a lovely farmershop and teagarden with delicious cakes. The terrain is huge with lots of beautifull spots. The owners are very nice and we absolutely loved our stay here.
