Cafe is one of the best I have seen in a supper store, a lovely little book swap. Clean interior and the package less goods area was superb. Had a lovely pleasant conversation with a lady on checkouts.
Visited 02/03/24: plenty of parking spaces and wheelchair spaces. The store is bright and clean with clear aisles. The only thing that bugs me and I don’t know much about it so could be wrong- but the “waste free” area with all that wood cladding- the wood just seems a waste, it’s still a tree that’s been chopped down to show how “green” you are.
Hadn't been in for a year, went to the customer desk and asked the security guard a question as no one was on the desk. His attitude was passive aggressive plus also he seemed to be over occupied with his phone which seemed to be more important than his job.nWaitrose, sort your security out. This guy is not suitable, I felt he should be on the doors to a night club instead.nShould ban them using those phones too, they are there to be vigilant and to protect the store, how can that be done when he is lost in his phone?
UPDATE: Took my dad for lunch at the cafe and we had a good meal. He loved the pie and I had a pizzette which was lovely. Everything clean. Friendly service with no wait.nnSupermarket in General: Good layout, plenty of choice and a good selection of veggie, vegan, free range and organic choices. Loose fruit and vegetables available if you're trying to shop plastic-free. Staff helpful and happy to help you find something in particular when needed.
