On every visit I have found the staff to be the most helpful that I've ever experienced in any store! Main Reason I shop there and because is always so clean and tidy. My only reservations are the prices aren't as competitive, (but probably due to being only local chain supermarket in vicinity). Cafe is nice, small so does get busy sometimes when no seating available, but again staff welcoming and helpful. Great option of coffee take away too.

Fantastic customer service! I dropped my phone on the footpath near the shop and went to the store for assistance, they did their best to find it. They took my details, and after a few minutes I found my phone outside on a footpath. Phoned them to reassure them that I found it, and they were "congratulating" me after I found it. But for the review, it's a brilliant shop!

Not enough Welsh speakers working there. I felt like I was in the home counties of England. Customer service is about being able to communicate effectively with your customers. If you don't want to or cannot speak their language then that's not good customer service.

Would have been fine - a generic Waitrose - apart from the security guard that targeted us the moment we walked through the door today. We were on our way back to the mainland after a long day out at Beaumaris, possibly dishevelled and a bit messy, but most shops don't usually mind that! A bit scruffy doesn't usually mean thief! He rushed over as we walked in the door, then stood right next to us as we entered the shop proper. He then followed us around the shop obviously and then reappeared at the checkout we were using to pay for our 3 for £10 ready meals for our holiday dinner that evening. He then appeared at the exit to silently watch us leave. It was really insulting to be targeted like that. How does he get to decide how much money someone has or whether they deserve to shop at Waitrose in peace or not. After being a loyalty card holder for many years, with many happy shopping experiences in the lovely Ponteland store, this experience has really put me off. We won't be returning to buy dinner tomorrow after our boat trip in Beaumaris. Will choose a supermarket that appreciates and doesn't victimise its customers on the random whim of a bloke in uniform.
