I Bought a large white chocolate cake with dark chocolate sponge for a very special person in my life for their 60th birthday.  It was one of their largest celebration cakes and thought it would be just perfect to cater for the large group at the party. 
I and everyone one else were surprised to find that the cake was very dry and had hardly any(1mm) ganash filling.  Perhaps the sponge was of a commercial mix as it hadn't any flavour or texture that a quality homemade sponge would have had. 
The white chocolate was of a waxy consistency and felt very gloopy and grainy. 
I was so excited at the appearance but this faded fast when we all felt that this wonderful looking cake had been made in a very commercial and factory like fashion. 
Even the additional selection of delicious looking chocolates to go with the cake had very poor flavours and horrible chocolate consistently. 
A very poor second to Hotel Chocolat and even Thorntons Belgium chocolate range.

Won large easter egg from this shop it was the best chocolate i've tasted .Delicious.Will be paying you a visit next time i'm in the area. xx

Ben brings great artistry to his cake making. His shop is an aladdin's cave of cakey goodness and well worth a visit.
