This little gem in the centre of Menai Bridge was such a find! Staff were extremely patient, helpful and friendly, not pushing for a sale. Nothing was too much trouble and the customer service we received was an example to all retailers in the area. The quality of the work done on the jewellery we had repaired was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!! Edit: just seen the reviewer complaining that he was refused access to see the workshop. Do you ask to inspect the kitchen before you eat out at a restaurant too? I’m sure Mr Davies was only trying to protect the items in his workshop from any theft or damage. How could he be sure you weren’t sussing the place out in order to rob him?

Firstly I must say how wonderful & helpful the staff are; added to that Mr Davies has worked on many commissioned pieces for me over the years & his expertise & precision to detail make him the best jeweller in the area. I have no problems in recommending his work. Secondly I see that a rather obnoxious individual called Jeremy Nedwell has written a damning review based on a phone call. I am so pleased that Davies Jewellers refused this individual access to the on-site workshop. My own personal & valuable pieces are in that workshop for restoration & I do not want Mr Davies inviting unknown individuals into the workshop for their own amusement. My items are valuable & not to be displayed in a workshop for Mr Nedwell to look at whilst inspecting the premises. Do you ask the bank if you can inspect their safes & alarm systems before deciding if you wish to bank there? I can assure you you'll get a similar answer as you have from Davies Jewellers. A most excellent independent jewellers.

Completely unhelpful on phone. Asked if I could see workshop (I wanted a traditional jeweller and I can rate their service by how well equipped and organised the workshop is) and was told in no uncertain terms that it was private. Only one of three jewellers who refused.
