Waggon & Horses

About

Traditional Freehouse pub since 1848. Where we like our whiskey! Great selection of real ale, cider, spirits and more. We're pretty good at burgers too.

Story

We are a family run traditional pub, right opposite The Brighton Dome complex of venues, 300mtrs from The Royal Pavilion and 150mtrs from Brighton's historic Theatre Royal. Surrounded by great restaurants, we make a great meeting point for all venus, allways pleased to see our customers, new and old.
We stock the best Champagnes for those special occasions and some of the finest Cognacs and rare Whiskys. Cuban cigars for thoses wishing to sit in our heated outdoor tables and soak up the atmosphere of the artistic quarter of Brighton.

Cool small bar, great to sit outside. Big choice of beer. Also offers some food.
Great outdoor space, nice beers, friendly staff and food by Chilli Pickle.
Friendly and helpful staff managing a busy Saturday night and maintaining excellent safety measures. Be nice if the whole outdoor area was covered or had some moveable parasols or similar to cover exposed parts of the beer garden at front.
Nice Pub, friendly staff.
Really well-run post-Covid boozer with the best-kept cask ales and the biggest range of whiskies and other spirits. Had a great Friday night here 14/8/2020. Staff are all stars.

Dec 2020. Sat outside under heated shelter. Plenty of staff to take your drinks and food orders. Unfortunately we waited one hour to receive our two small starters. They are using the Chilly Pickle restaurant for food.
Managed to get a table fairly quickly on a Saturday eve, really friendly staff and social distancing measures in place. Lovely space to enjoy the sunshine too during the day with nice outdoor seating!
Glorious, so so friendly, great location and afternoon sun trap. Love this pub xx
