Always love this cinema - it’s affordable, easy to book online and is free parking with the code Vue give you. It’s never busy though I prefer daytime showings. Always clean and tidy and the staff are friendly enough. The food isn’t particularly cheap and the lightly salted nachos taste like cardboard…but there’s nothing stopping you from taking your own snacks in. My top cinema every time.
Vue Gateshead is always my preferred cinema. Always choose a later screening when it's not full of children and the prices are great so it's not too much of a stretch to opt for the fancy chairs with a little more space. Generally speaking the other customers are also well behaved film-goers, unlike a notable one in Newcastle's gate where people are on their mobiles and chatting throughout movies. I've always found it to be tidy and clean, including the facilities and the staff have been unfailingly polite when I've visited. Location is a definite bonus with free parking at the big carpark under Tesco as long as you remember to get your barcode from the counter/ entry podium.
Loved it. Its great value for money. I've visited this cinema lots of times with family and friends and can honestly say I've never had a single issue with anything. Highly recommend
I always have a very positive experience upon visiting here, for being a budget friendly cinema they provide a good experience with great customer service. Even the lower priced tickets provide an excellent view of the screen and a comfortable, plus size accessible seat. The food here is good, I enjoyed the nachos and my partner enjoyed the hot dogs however the price point on confectionary is steep. I enjoy that they screen older movies, such as Disney films and 90s/early 2000s hits. These make for a lovely day out or alternative to seeing the latest block busters.

I always go to this Vue, the ticket prices are so reasonable, we never have any issues getting good seats when we book online, and you can upgrade to the premium seating for little extra. Unlike the metrocentre Odeon which we used to go to, we don't find that there is trouble with people kicking the back of your seats or being particularly noisy during the films which is a relief. It can be relatively busy but not so busy as it causes any problems. There's little queues for snacks sometimes, but there is in any cinema, and of course if you're going to see a movie on a weekend or during the school half term holidays then it is going to be more busy. The staff are always friendly, the cinema toilets are usually very clean as far as public toilets go, and the cinema itself has a nice aesthetic the lobby area is well lit and really nice to sit in if you get there too early for your film. I've seen many movies here and im sure to return many times in the future to Vue Gateshead.
Comparatively cheap tickets to most of the big cinemas. Not the food/drink though, still cinema prices for those
Always use Vue, rather than Odeon as I find the prices more reasonable. I have never had a reason to complain about any visit. All I WILL say, is that in the cinema I go to in The Netherlands, the staff put your crisps into an open carton, so that people are not rustling packets all through the film. Maybe an idea for our cinemas to do that.
My son and I go regularly mostly for the marvel,dc stuff but he's branching out so yeah I think the place is definitely worth a look 4.99 a seat and only 8 for vip whats not to like its become part of our lives over the last 10 to 12 Yr
Very rude staff and people inside were very loud and noisy. They were also very disrespectful chucking things at me and threatening us . Will not be coming back very disgraceful experience.
