Been getting my contact lenses from here for years now. They’re super cheap and affordable. Their delivery is also very quick as well. I usually buy my contacts last minute so it’s great when I’m running out. I recently had a problem with my order. I gave them a ring and they issued me a refund straight away. The most hassle free helpline I’ve come across, no waiting times and received quick help. They always pack a haribos bag along with the order which is cute !!
I tried ordering lenses for the first time at Vision Direct because I wanted next day delivery. Well, a week and a half later, they told me that they were having stock issues and my order would be 11-21 days late. 21 days later, I called and they said that stock is now expected another 2 weeks from now, which is over a month from when I placed the order! I ended up cancelling the order as the representative told me there was nothing she could do. I wouldn't have minded if they were upfront about the stock issues but it's another thing to advertise next day delivery and continually move the goal post further and further.
Update - 1.5 weeks past still nothing - no delivery no refund!! Does anyone care in this company - NO. Be aware it’s not next day delivery service. I have been waiting for my 63 pounds item for 4 days now and their support told me it’s not their fault it takes so long and nothing they can do and they don’t know when to expect it’s coming and I just have to wait and see IF something is updated in my tracking link. So apparently if your order is missing it’s your fault and nothing they can do. Great service !
I purchased 6 pairs of contact lenses a few days ago. I was on their website and a promo banner popped up, so clicked it and purchased varifocal contacts to take advantage of their discount promo. They arrived quickly as they normally do. Unfortunately this time the lenses were not as crisp or sharp as previous lenses. My prescription is only 4 months old so i know it was not an error with my part. I tried another pair of lenses to see if it was just the first pair. I had the same problem with the second pair, so i used their online messaging system and spoke to an operator. I was told that due to the box having been opened I was not able to send them back for a refund. This was unexpected! I had hoped to get a refund so i could order my normal comtact lenses. How would I know if they were working correctly or not, if I did not try them on? I still had 4 pairs of lenses and I was hoping to send them back but I was told I couldn't do this as i had already opened the boxes. If this is their policy then there is a massive failure for them as there should not be any returns policy? I checked their website again and i saw that they will easily accept returns for exactly the reason i gave the operator i had been messaging with. Having been a customer that has purchased 9 times over the past couple of years, I would have expected a better answer when I was dealing with a real person. I'm also not bothered to contact them again as there are so many other options online for me to choose from.
I love this company. Reordering is ridiculously easy and every delivery comes with a small gift which always makes me smile! Every time I need contact lenses, I come straight to Vision Direct without a second thought.
I have been a customer for years, however, on the re-order screen, the price per box £24.99 is higher than all the other major suppliers of mail order lenses. Specsavers and vision express are 2 examples. They charge £21.00 and £22.50 respectively. I contacted them, but they come up with excuses why they can not price match, such as one company needs a valid prescription. Very spurious. So, do not just re-order, you WILL be charged more for your lenses. Price check every time. They can say that there is a different level of service or that they run promotions from time to time, but the bottom line, like not auto renewing your car insurance, CHECK THE PRICE OF OTHER SUPPLIERS before just re-ordering. I am off to Specsavers to get an identical product £4 cheaper per box. Very poor marketing.
Customer service is good, they pick up and are prompt. They sometimes have trouble with Royal Mail, with who I think they can improve on their communication with. But other than that I think A LOT OF companies can learn from Vision Direct.
I have been ordering with Vision Direct for years with no problems however my last order was a mess and due to how it was dealt with, I will not order from this company again. I even asked them to please help, several times as I dont want to write a bad review on them. Still nothing. Very, very disappointing customer services. It began when I ordered my usual lenses. They normally arrive in a few days. After a week, nothing. I called and was told they were de;ayed and should be there soon. Another week, nothing. I tracked it onlne and it gave me delivery date of a few more days so I waited. Five days after that delivery date, nothing. So I called and was told there ws a delay due to stock issues. My own stock was running low at this stage. Another week passed, I contacted them again. I was told two different things, one was thta the lense and been discontinued by the manufacture and another lady said that it was just delayed. I waited again. Nothing. Called again, told they no longer sell these lenses despite the fact that you could still order them on their website! I was told would be refunded. Again I had to chase that. When it arrived it ws the wrong amount, it was short, only a few euros but that wasnt the point. I was just annoyed at the whole situation. I contacted them several times and was told each time by different reps that there was nothing they could do. I ordered on 9th September and after all the above was refunded the wrong amount on 14th October. I got no answer to my last email. I find this disappointing, rude and caused me stress as I had almost run out of lenses. I went onto the Alensa website, ordered the axact same lenses and got them two days later - along with a free gift from them just for ordering! That's customer services.
Like lots of other reports the delivery times on the website are a lie. Every time I’ve ordered I’ve had a ‘sorry on this occasion we’re late’ email. This time around I’ve had two emails and at current estimate they’re talking over two weeks delay. Won’t be using again.
I placed an order for a pair of -4.0 left eye and -3.5 right eye contact lenses. However, when I went to wear them for my event, I noticed they delivered only my -4.0 lenses - when I had paid for both. I was thus forced to wear both of my -4 lenses and of course contacted them immediately so they could remedy their order. I was initially left with no email reply until I called and was told that they would only deliver the -3.5 lenses, which has left me with yet another wrong prescription. What I needed was for them to redeliver my initial order I paid for of BOTH my LEFT and RIGHT prescription, not just one. I now can’t use the -3.5 on their own, rendering my entire order useless. No refund was offered and no one called me back when they said they would. Absolutely ripped off, absolutely useless customer service.
