Have switched to this Veterinary practice since we moved to London and so far I’m very happy. They carry her food, I was able to get her a new dog tag, they were all very kind and helped me with my pram for my baby. I especially love that I can book average appointments online instead of having to call in.
I transferred to this vets after being very unhappy with the care at Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital where many things were not being addressed or being missed by the staff there. My cat was seemingly getting worse and worse every week and I couldn’t take the decline anymore. My first appointment was with Sheldon who did a full diagnostic of my 18 year old cat and advised that “it’ll be a marathon not a spirit” to get her back to full health. Turned out that not only did she have a hyperthyroid, but kidney disease, osteoarthritis and a very nasty UTI that took several rounds of tests and antibiotics to resolve. However, after being at Village Vet practically every other week for a few months, she is a completely new cat with more energy than I’ve seen in her for years. Honestly cannot find fault with any of the staff at this veterinary clinic, every person I’ve come into contact with has been so caring and patient when listening to any of my concerns. Especially Abigale on reception who is an actual angel and listened to me complain way too much
I brought my 9 week old Jack Russell here and had an amazing experience. He needed his second vaccine and the nurse we saw Rachael was very loving, gentle and gave great advice as I was worried bringing him in and am new to it all. Will definitely be returning when needed. Great vets and reasonably priced.
Absolutely amazing care from Alison and the team for Posie! Posie somehow escaped the sitters house, got hit by a car, went missing for 36 hours, found her way home and is now having post op therapy which she is loving. Thank you all ‍
I can’t praise Village Vet highly enough - it’s an excellent practice. Sheldon and the team are incredible - as good as it gets. We’ve been bringing our four dogs and three rabbits to Village Vet in Highgate for years - they’re always in excellent health and well looked after thanks to Aby, Alice, Alison, Amy, Dayna, Emma, Eva, Maddy, Rachael, Shannon, Sheldon and Sophia. Thank you as always!!
Allison & her team at Village Vet are absolutely wonderful. My cat Snares fell ill over the new year period. Long story short he unfortunately passed mid January. Whilst he was still with us the care he received was brilliant. I was in contact with Allison practically every other day to see if his diagnosis had improved & received very thorough communication in what was being done, why & potential next steps. There is a lot of care & compassion for both the pet & owner here even in aftercare & despite the circumstances I can't thank them enough. When the time comes to adopt another feline in my life I'll be more than happy to return to this practice.
Been going here for years and couldn't imagine bringing my babies anywhere else! Dr. Sheldon is the most thorough, diligent, and kind veterinarian I've ever met and has helped our 2 x sausage dogs throughout different illnesses and accidents over the years. Highly recommend!!
It is disheartening to leave a poor review, but unfortunately I must. There is a common thread in Village Vet Highgate’s dissatisfied reviews around over-pricing, inaccurate recordkeeping, unnecessary tests and poor customer service. I'm afraid I can testify to this. An inaccurate note was left on my cat's record saying I had received flea treatment and needed to pay for it. I had not received the treatment. I was still trying to pick it up. Despite my repeated polite attempts to inform the receptionist I had not received the meds, she carried on insisting I had. I had to become assertive with her and insist that I had not received the medication. The vet was called out, who bizarrely carried on with this dogmatic insistence that I had received the medication and needed to pay for it. It was entirely unprofessional and a complete failure to listen to the customer and acknowledge there may be an error in their records. Rather than apologise for the misunderstanding and refer back to the admin team to sort out the error, the vet chose to take on a long argument with me, accusing me of trying to take the medication twice. I was essentially accused of fraud in front of several other customers. It was utterly disgraceful conduct from the vet. I also tried to feedback that the round-robin and automated texts they send out are misleading and confusing. I tried to point out that the customer before me had made a special visit with her dog under the guidance of a text, only to be told that nothing could be done and she needed to book an appointment. She tried to feedback that the text was misleading. This lady had been inconvenienced, yet there was no apology to her for the inconvenience caused—only short-shrift. The same short shrift was then meted out to me. It is appalling customer service, particularly for the amount of money they charge. And this isn't the first time I have experienced poor customer service or felt ripped off by this vet. Until now I have endured it in silence. I wonder how many other customers are suffering in silence with this vet? As the vet was only committed to arguing and antagonizing me, nothing was resolved and I was naturally furious by the time I left. I called my friend to complain about the way I had been treated and she was surprised to hear I was still using Village Vet. She told me she had dumped them years ago because of excessive charging, unnecessary tests and poor customer service. She has recommended another local vet who is reasonably priced and much more efficient. So sadly, here is the dissatisfied review
First time going to village vets and the vet I seen he was so understanding caring my cat liked him lol she never takes to people quick? Very friendly vets glad I picked village vets very happy thank you
Lovely and attentive staff. I felt like the vet genuinely was interested in our animal and took out concerns seriously without just wanting to charge us an expensive treatment without cause.
