Nice chippy easily recognized by the royal blue front. Near bus stops and pubs. The massive menu is impressive. Lunch specials and other daytime specials offer value discount. Portions are more than fair. Staff are hardworking by the looks of it. Open at 11am til late. Cheers to the Village Takeaway. Menu posted here for convenience.
Ordered a delivery seemed over priced. Food arrived chips missing. Said will be out with the next driver. Never arrived ended up making the kids tea. The meal ordered was over loaded with onions and peppers. Ribs. S&P chicken meal. Plain noodles and curry £27
Got prawn chow mein, Peking mushrooms, prawn toast, salt and pepper chips and curry sauce. Having read some of these reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. But wanted to try and give business local. Pleasantly surprised. Really enjoyed the food, arrived hot and on time. Prawn toast especially nice. Gave 4 stars as needed to add a bit of soy to the chow mein to suit my taste, and the chips were a little soggy I love a soggy chip but the other half said he would rather them more crisp. Will definitely get food from here again.

Call in to this place tonight , ordered two meat and potato pies and some chicken wings , all disgusting and went straight into the bin, a health hazard , pies overcooked and broken , pastry was rock hard and the chicken was just as bad , they have all been left in the heater cabinet all day by the look of it , anyone who knows anything about catering should know to keep checking the product in the heater , I wouldn’t go in that place again if they paid me,
I think this chippy might of changed hands, i felt most of the food was tasty and of decent quality, bbq ribs, salt and pepper ribs, salt and pepper chicken pieces , steamed sui mais i think were boiled and chip portion was really small unlike the price, pennies short of £30. If i win the lottery or someone else wants to spoil me i would eat from here again.
Absolutely awful. I really dont like putting bad reviews feel I must. Late delivery. Chips had been warmed up definitely not fresh. Kebab had 4 peices of chicken . Soup was terrible . Chinese meals were tasteless and the vegetables were raw. Chop Suey was burnt black inside . Spent nearly £50. Complete waste of money. Shame on you for serving food like that .
ABSOLUTELY AWFULL PLACE!!!! AVOID if this was the last chip shop on earth I still wouldn't go. The chips were cold and not fresh!! And as for the rest of the meal don't get me started. You have all been warned!
Foods nice. But guarantee they always forget to put 1 item in.Food: 5/5
Portions of chips are small after you pay for large,items you should get are always missing and delivery was 20 min late even though meals were orders hrs ahead.
