It’s a Chinese restaurant with dim sum and great sea view. Dim Sum are very good, well over those in China town for most of the choices. Unfortunately the rice is just normal. So if you are going to here for dim sum, you will not get upset. Service is a normal, but maybe the restaurant does not have enough manpower. If you need to refill the teapot, you will expect to wait for 5 minutes.
Today me and my partner had another visit of this restaurant as we were a happy customers from before. But it left a disappointment in us and we think to not come back again. The reasons are as follows: 1. It's difficult to chat with the staff. We asked the same questions couple of times without success, trying to have a drinks menu but only wine list available. At the end we ordered coffee. Then in the huge selection in the main menu we saw lobster without a price, instead the description says "seasonal price". We had to ask how much it will cost and the answer was £44 and that it can be shared. It felt a little bit as there is potential for negotiating the price. So we thought it will be enough for two of us. You can see from the photo how little it was. It felt even less, just to try, as a gourmet. Most of it were shells unable to eat. Was definitely overpriced. We had to order chicken with mushrooms with noodles to fill a bit. At the end when we called for the bill, we saw £10.50 for the chicken and mushroom and £7.50 for the noodles. In two separate plates. £4 for the latte. And 10% service charge included without asking. I definitely think it's overpriced for what you get. Maybe it's because of inflation or energy prices, but prepare well what to expect, it's not like it used to be.
Longing for some dim sum. So we went to this Hong Kong restaurant. You can order dim sum all of the day here. They will serve you some free soup first. Today is seaweed and pork soup. Dim sums are very nice. Traditional Hong Kong taste. The best dish is fried chilli soft shell crab, it’s hot, crispy and super delicious! What I don’t like is the chicken. It’s almost tasteless. Good view, nice staff.
Terrible Experience Here, the food was pretty average, I've eaten from nicer takeaways to be fair ! The staff here was dam right Rude, I'd been sat less then 5 minutes and I must have been asked to order 15 times at least and I hadn't even ordered a drink ! On top of that they barley spoke a word of English. And finally price, I came here on my own, I got a chicken curry with rice and a coca cola, that cost me £37 !!! I suppose the nice views and chinese food is what draws people here but would deffo not recommend
What a fantastic restaurant. The staff the food and WOW the setting what a beautiful views . Couldn't fault it. I came to visit the Cars and Coffee and thought i have to try the restaurant as the Char Sui buns were super delicious. With a walk along the sea front fantastic afternoon in Liverpool Thank You Chung Ku.
Been before and food was lovely, this time I ordered a chicken chow main and it had no flavour whatsoever. The difference from my last visit was such a contrast I actually thought I may have lost my taste though Covid and considered doing a Lateral Flow. I can’t say for sure that they just boiled up yesterday’s leftovers but that’s what it tasted like.
1st time eating in this restaurant, amazing view as we entered the restaurant with the sun setting across the river! That 180° view just amazing! Good service, Good food and a fantastic view. What more can one ask? Also amper parking spaces in the front of the restaurant.
The view there was good and most of the dim sum were good as well. However, avoid some of the dishes... especially the spicy sichun ones.... They are by no means SiChun style..... Service - some staffs were really good but some of them are like disaster... The lady at the cashier insisted that we have to pay the 10% service charge which should be optional in the UK. She said if we are not paying for that 10%, there will be extra charges to the bill which might end up be more expensive than the 10% service charge... What??? Been there for a few times but definitely won't be going back Parking: big parking lot there
Good food but some of the rice noodles were not thoroughly cooked. Not the best Chinese restaurant I have been to in Liverpool but not bad. Portions were good and view was pretty.
Food is always goodish the spring onion pancakes were perfect this time but the pancakes for the crispy duck were not perfect. Did ask for a fresh lot but were just given the sane ones heated up again and were not as good as usual.Food: 4/5
