Unfortunately the rooms are too basic for my liking. I stayed with my mum who is struggling at the moment after a kidney transplant. The tea and coffee facilities being on what I can only describe a shin height box isn't acceptable. No full length mirror either. The only thing that makes this brand superior from Premier inn is the fact it has leisure facilities and a Starbucks. Shame as I've always rated Village Hotels. We ordered our food via the qr code on our table. Our food arrived , but we had to chase our drinks , turns out the machine was broken. We eventually got our drinks after we'd finished our food and proved we'd ordered them. Both nights we were woken at 12.30am. First night by 2 loud ladies in the car park flashing themselves. Second night by staff trying to slam shut a fire door. I'd stay again but I'd request not being backed onto a car park. Rooms: Basic Nearby activities: Brilliant , 10 mins from Chester zoo , blue planet , port sunlight & Cheshire oaks Walkability: To portsunlight , 10 mins on foot Food & drinks: Standard menu
I recently stayed at your hotel to visit some friends who were traveling through the area. While my stay was brief, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. One particular highlight was my visit to the hotel's Starbucks. I was greeted by a truly delightful barista named Noel. His service was exceptional, and he made me feel incredibly welcome. Noel's friendly demeanor and attention to detail were truly commendable. Thank you for providing such a pleasant and memorable stay. I will definitely consider staying at your hotel again in the future.
Really fantastic stay here. Not only are the rooms great but also just a nice place to work from, too. The Starbucks there is really good and one of the Baristas in particular, Noel, was really kind and helpful about other things to see and do both here and in Liverpool. He made great coffee too, of course.Rooms: 5/5
I've been coming to the Village Hotel for years, both as a hotel guest and a gym member. Noel and Sue at the Starbucks are absolute gems. Noel is always welcoming, friendly and attentive. He goes out of his way to brighten everyone’s day. Sue is equally fantastic – friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile. They both create such a warm, inviting atmosphere that grabbing a coffee feels like catching up with mates.
Met friends for an impromptu coffee in the hotel's Starbucks and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The customer service from young Noel was second to none, and he not only extended a warm welcome but was also extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the products, which is a rare combination these days!! I'll definitely be coming again!
Great spacious room, with a comfy couch/bed settee, and I huge double bed, very comfy. Only downside was the rooms were boiling hot, windows are secured and will only open a tiny bit, there was a fan in the room which only really helped if you were sat on top of it. Big tv too. Clean and spacious, bathroom was nice but small. Clean towels, tea and coffee provided, iron and ironing board and hair dryer in drawer.
A quiet room, a king size bed thanks to an upgrade, cheerful and helpful staff mainly, and a modest price. Breakfast included, great, but no fruit teas, and only plastic bread. Bar a bit noisy in the evening, but it was a Friday night. Staff all lovely, but bar girl not well trained. Overall a good experience
Visited the hotel recently and popped into the starbucks for some food and drinks. Super friendly and helpful staff Noel, Sue and Ange served me. Service with a smile! Plenty of fresh choice and I enjoyed a lovely lunch. I ate in and was lovely and clean. Staff were keeping on top of tables even at such a busy time. Credit to the hotel
I recently stayed again at this lovely hotel but their Disabled parking continues to be abused with more vehicles parked without a Blue badge than with one This means genuine disabled guests may not find a space If you are a wheel chair user a few tips To access the ramp you need to travel on their private road so care needed Also the accessible rooms, whilst the bathroom is perfect, the beds are all very low making transfer difficult for some. Why they put low beds in their accessible rooms is a mystery. Otherwise this hotel is excellent for anyone with reduced mobility .Lifts great and everything on the level
Come to Starbucks regularly as I am a member of the gym. Frequently use the Starbucks afterwards. Got served by Noel and Kate who were very friendly and chatty. Put me in a good mood for day!Rooms: 5/5
