Myself and my wife have stayed at both village hotels in Leeds and enjoyed our stay . We Chilled out in the pool and health suite which was nice enough. The staff on the desk on our visit was a bit short and could do with being a bit more friendly people are paying and in my opinion they should always realise this! but that said I really don't care for people that cant make the effort even though they are getting paid for the customer service part of their job. And I certainly would not let them ruin our positive vibes . All of the other staff fist bumps and all that ..the room was comfortable and warm, food was good
Had a lovely stay here. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean, stain on the carpet in the room I stayed. The gym, pool is nice and worth a fiver however, can be very busy at times.Rooms: 5/5
Nice big room. Comfortable bed. Breakfast could have had more fruit and yoghurt options. Children had swimming lessons in the pool all Sunday morning. Was really busy so I gave that a miss. I would like paying guests to be able to use the pool for free and not have to pay 5 pounds. Would result in more happy hotel customers. I had a nice stay. Vibrant hotel.
Great hotel with lots of amenities. The bar/restaurant area is great - big screens to watch the sport, good selection of beers and drinks and food. Very good breakfast with lots of choice. The Starbucks is also good for a coffee and the pool, sauna, gym are also great just check swim times as sometimes the water aerobics class is on. The rooms are decent too, comfy beds, nice bathrooms. Have stayed many times, has good car parking facilities too and a bus stop a little walk away into Leeds city centre.
Excellent facilities, rooms, bar and grill. Very pleasant and helpful staff. They even let us southerners watch Arsenal on their big screens! Overall a really nice stay.Rooms: 5/5
Firstly, I want to acknowledge the positive aspects of my stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. The swimming pool and sauna facilities were excellent, adding a touch of luxury to my visit. Moreover, the breakfast provided was brilliant, with a great variety of delicious options. However, there were several issues that significantly affected the quality of my stay. The walls of my room seemed unusually thin, allowing me to hear every noise from the downstairs area, including the movement of plates and glasses. This was quite disruptive. Furthermore, a major concern was the loud music and singing from an event at the hotel. We were assured that the noise would cease by 5:30 PM, but, disappointingly, it continued until 1 AM. The volume and the bass were so intense that it was impossible to sleep. This not only caused significant discomfort but also affected my plans for the following day due to lack of rest. I am bringing these issues to your attention not just to express my dissatisfaction, but in the hope that you will take steps to improve the experience for future guests. I believe that with some attention to these details, The Village Hotel Leeds North can provide a much more pleasant and relaxing stay for all guests.
Not a bad venue. If you were resident then it's wonderful and a nice passing through bar for gym bunnies. As a location I don't think it's right to call it a sports bar just to atteact. more custom when everyone , staff and client.Service: 4/5
Attended a Soul and Motown Tribute evening priced at £33pp 2 for 1 special offer. A two course meal of chicken breast, mashed potato and roasted peppers followed by a tribute act and dancing. Good value for money, reasonable food for the price and great entertainment.Service: 4/5
Completely disappointed. Spent £160 on a room as an anniversary surprise for my partner and feel completely ripped off. As soon as we got here, the battery in the door lock was flat so had to wait around for someone to replace it before we could access the room. The gentleman that sorted this was the only person we encountered that was polite, friendly and apologetic. Later on in the night we found that the radiator didn’t work, considering it’s -1°, this is less than ideal, and also the areal on the TV doesn’t work so we’re left with no entertainment for the night. No one is ever on reception so unable to get any of this resolved! Now the bar and grill is what completely ruined our experience here. We thought we could at least go and enjoy a decent meal. We booked a table for 7:30. Called them around 6pm to ask if we could push the time back a little, to which the woman on the phone advised they were really busy and would see what she could do. She then proceeded to end the call. After trying to call back another 2 times with no answer, we decided to go and speak to the people in the restaurant directly. A polite gentleman in the restaurant took our orders and wrote them down exactly as we requested. Our starters came to the table 10 minutes apart so one went cold as we waiting for the other. When the mains eventually came, one of the meals was wrong. 5 minutes later they show up with a fresh meal and advised they’d mixed up my order with a different table. I can only assume that the burger I had already touched to check for relish was then given straight to the correct table. The food was less than average. We waiting around for 15 minutes hoping to see someone so we could request the bill, nobody was around, so we went to the bar. Overall, we’re extremely disappointed. Wish I’d have booked a Premier inn and grabbed a Burger King on the way!
I’m a member of the gym here and have been for years. The recent addition of functional kit and spaces as well as classes suit my CrossFit training style perfectly! There are also some really high quality instructors too, Will and Laura do particularly great classes and bring a great energy to them and a friendly and positive vibe the gym floor as well!
