Nice stay.Great Location for Cricket or Rugby. Our room was good and the only complaint really is that the bedding, pillows etc probably need renewing as they've seen better days. Staff were really helpful and friendly and we would stay again if we came back for a sporting event. Room was clean and tidyRooms: 3/5
The view is what saves this place! That bit was amazing. As for the rest of the experience, it wasn't great. The toilet in my room was broken and I was told to 'push both buttons' - obviously I'd tried that, still didn't work. No apology or compensation was offered. Both times I needed to check in and check out, no one was on the desk. I had to call a mobile number to get assistance. I still haven't been able to get a receipt for my stay. The lighting in the rooms is harsh and there are no bedside lamps, so it has a cheap feel. Bathroom was dirty with someone else's hair.
Loved our Headingly Lodge experience. I would definitely go there again. I would also recommend it to my friends. Loved staying thereRooms: 5/5
Room was ok and standard. Fine for what I needed it for. Bed was comfy. I've stayed there before so no issues from the room point of view. My fault entirely but I left an expensive and almost new shirt in the room and following three emails to the hotel asking them to get in touch they said nobody had found it and they didn't have it. Make your own mind up to what has happened but I'm now without the shirt and can do nothing about it. Will never stay here again.
The hotel reception is quite basic but the staff were very helpful, giving us directions to local restaurants etc. There is no breakfast available except a continental option delivered to the room. We didn't take up the option. The room was a good size with views over the cricket pitch. The bed, however left a bit to be desired. It was really uncomfortable with the weirdest array of odd shaped pillows. You should speak to somebody at Premier Inn about pillow quality. They never disappoint. The room was not serviced by housekeeping at all during our stay. The bathroom had a lovely shower cubicle but only one really small shelf for personal toiletries above the sink. We had booked for 2 nights but left early.
Stopped over for a night in Headingley. First thing I noticed was the room has no aircon, 2 tiny windows and one was broken. So would not open. Not ideal in 28C heat. Also you can't have the curtains even ajar as there's a bloody path outside your window so anyone could walk past at all hours. After surviving the night with the curtains closed and the fan on, awoke to find they've only bothered to wash one of the 2 cups. As a final moan, despite a car park bang outside the hotel, you have to use a totally different one at the bottom of the road next to the train line. Rooms: No aircon, people can walk right past your window
Decent rooms, with very modern bathrooms. Nice tv's as well, but unfortunately no air con. Amazing view of stadium. I'd recommend staying here if you're in the area or for a matchRooms: 4/5
My room is on the 3rd floor, in the middle of the night I heard stomping from above my room and it was very disturbing. Then, the walls of the room here are so thin that the voices of the people next to my room can be heard. I give a bad rating for the rooms, but the staff here are quite friendly to guests.Rooms: 1/5
We arrived and went through the security barrier to the free car park, lots of spaces. Checked in, then up in the lift to 3rd floor. Each room is numbered and has the name of a cricket player. Rooms are basic. Large comfortable bed. Clean shower room with nice liquid soaps. Large flat screen tv. Table 2 chairs. Little fridge, tea/coffee, biscuits. Hanging/storage areas. Large windows overlook the field and seating areas. The door to outside is locked until there's international games, and then they're not available. But we got a chance to watch Yorkshire warm-up before leaving. No breakfast available today. There's a strict before 11am check out, especially on match days. Match day parking can mean changing carpark too.
TRUELY AWEFUL.!! This place has to be the worst place that I have ever stayed at. Booked this place as a reconmendation, and wish we didn't. Had a family function and booked for 3 days. We were told that CAR PARK B would be our designated resident car park. Upon getting to the lodge we were told you will be in CAR PARK F DOWN THE END OF THE ROAD. With 2 small children and Boot load of stuff, this was just the start. GOT TO THE ROOM, To be fair the room size was good, the fridge had a previous Mouldy sandwich in it and wasn't checked, Only x2 plug sockets, AND NO AIR CONDITIONING, with only a fan, which I could blow more cold air out of my mouth from! CRICKET MATCH DAY AND NO COMMUNICATION. Having to get to a function, our cars were blocked in by 3 coaches and no drivers. Site stewards were a joke and very rude. But as a family who had booked x6 rooms we were all effected. I can go on!!! This place is in need of some serious modernisation, Communicating staff, Genuine Gatehouse personnel who are willing to help, and not worried about clocking off in 15mins. As far as reconmendations go for this place you will be only treated to a decent view of a cricket match/pitch. That's It.! Just wish I had taken photos to upload. Walkability: Seriously ask if there is a match going on before booking. I had to pick up x2 kids who were fast asleep from CAR PARK F and walk. Noteworthy details: No Air Con, No Bar to even get ice & no onsite shop. The cleanliness was a joke. A humongous amount of investment is needed here, and I seriously hope people read this review before booking.
