Undoubtedly the rudest receptionists you could imagine. Today they hung up on me, then ignored what I was saying and hung up again. Finally got to speak to Edwina who kept talking over me and was incredibly rude. This has happened multiple times and today I had just had enough. My daughter called yesterday for an appointment. This is the fourth time she has had strep. She was told to await a callback. A nurse returned the call and told her to come in. The practice is a half an hour bus ride away and the buses come once an hour. She went and the nurse swabbed her throat. She prescribed antibiotics which my daughter was told she could only take if the swab showed strep. She was told they would have the results today 30th December. Today I was told they would not be getting the results today and will be closed for the New Year. I have had numerous issues with Edwina in the past but every time I have asked to speak to the practice manager they refuse to give her details. Today Edwina said she would give us the practice manager's email address once she had finished. She then refused to do so saying I would have to write in. I am doing so this time. The doctors in the practice are all caring and professional. The difficulty is getting to speak to them and dealing with their impossibly rude staff.

They’re not great but they’re not awful. Considering how much the NHS is struggling atm, they’re surprisingly OK.
The practise is hell!! Badly run, Tracy who answers the phone is rude and obnoxious. She shows no empathy and has now cut me off mid conversation twice. Quite clear she hates her job and sees patients as an inconvenience!! Doctors are no where to be seen due to the COVID situation. Complete joke and very frustrating.
I have tried calling to make an appointment as I was told to do by NHS24 several times today. Each time I have needed to listen to a 2 minute long pre-recorded message before another pre-recorded voice tells me there are no agents available to talk right now before hanging up. This is a colossal waste of my time when a simple engaged tone at the start would suffice. This is the sort of thing that is driving people to clog up a&e and push waiting times up to 7-9 hours as they head there for routine things because they have literally no other way of seeing a doctor. You are an absolute joke of a Dr’s surgery.
0 stars shame on these guys treat a patient’s problem with excuses it’s been more than a week asking for a medical appointment they keep saying we don’t have any appointment call tomorrow and when you call their line is not active and when the line is open they say we don’t have any appointments is this the way a patient should be treated?? If they should be treated like this they will understand.maybe. shame on these guys !! Giving just excuses for a person who is not feeling well we don’t deserve this . We pay thousand of tax a year to get no medical help ? I am waiting for a reply to this .let’s see if the manager have guts to answer my review
If you can avoid this place you should. The worst service provider there is. The one star reviews speak for themselves. with the hilarious addition of 5 reviews that have obviously been added by the staff The reception staff are rude and unhelpful and have instant attitudes one the phone. People are going to the doctor when they are in a time of need, and they should be treated with at least a drop of compassion, well not in this facility. If you can get through on the phone, if you can get past the hurdles to make an appointment, if you can answer the phone when they are able to call you back for the phone appointment, then the actual doctors themselves can be helpful. But this system is entirely broken.
Beyond horrendous. The reception staff are the worst I've come across- rude, dismissive and frankly aggressive at times. The doctors themselves are fine if you can bear the monsters at the front desk, but frankly I've had enough. I've just switched to a new GP, anything is better than this one. I cannot stress enough: Viewfield Medical Practice should be a last resort. I refuse to be belittled by staff when I am ill and in need of medical treatment. Unacceptable and pretty disgusting really. Go somewhere else and save yourself the torment.

I have found the service almost impossible to use. i have been trying to book an appointment with my gp for over a week now and have ended up having to take hours away from my own clinical practice and now a whole day off work not even knowing whether i will see a gp. I understand that we are going through unprecedented times and staffing is a huge issue, but the system currently in place does not accomodate the routines of working people also working through covid. As soon as another gp practice becomes available, I will be leaving viewfield. I have never before encountered as many barriers to accessing healthcare as I have with viewfield.
