Fantastic location! Rooms are stylishly designed/decorated, immaculately clean, and spacious. Staff are courteous, professional, and went over and above to ensure a comfortable stay. This is a noisy area with lively bars and buskers downstairs so bring ear plugs! Double glazing on the windows would do wonders for this hotel! Otherwise, it's a great choice for Leicester Sq and surrounding attractions.
After searching for the best price/ quality hotels around £200-250 per night in London, this Victory House was the best option. The location is unbeatable. The hotel is basically on Leicester Square and Chinatown which was perfect for me as I wanted to be close to Chinatown and Prince of Wales theater I had restaurant bookings in Chinatown and tickets for Book of Mormon. Check-in was quick, the staff were great and the room was very good quality. A downside: Even though I asked for a quieter room at the back of the hotel, the music of the nearby clubs hammer through the walls until the early hours of the morning. So there is a trade off between location and noise. But the noise didn’t bother me too much during this stay and the great location outweighs the noise issue. …I recommend Victory house because of the location, the service and the quality of the room. * Leicester square: 10 seconds walk * Chinatown: 10 seconds walk * British museum: Less than 15 mins walk * Nearest tube station: 1 min walk * Loads of other stuff nearby, but these are what mattered to me on my stay Pictures show some of the sights and attractions within minutes from the hotel.
The room itself was clean and comfortable even if small - and I'd booked the Deluxe so wouldn't want to see what a standard is like. Location on the square comes with lots of noise. Of the two lifts elevators one was out of order the whole week I stayed so ended up using the stairs so I wasn't waiting 5-10mins for a ride. It's a basic hotel, no fitness facilities and despite the restaurant downstairs reopening, it's not open for breakfast.
A perfectly located hotel to discover Soho, the West End and Covent Garden. We found the rooms quite small we had 3 rooms, for a price tag of €300/night and the bath room floors were not well maintained chalk deposits on the black floors. One of the 2 elevators was broken, which meant a lot of waiting due to the high occupancy in the hotel. We also asked to change rooms on the first night due to the loud bass from an adjacent night club. The night receptionist did eventually help us by changing us to a higher floor but he was not very keen on helping us, or so it seemed. That being said, you are in walking distance from all of the theaters, restaurants, bars and Chinatown. Very well positioned.
What can I say. The experience was delightful. We stayed there the night before checking out a lovely restaurant in Bournemouth. TRG ;- The hotel staff went above and beyond their duties to ensure our stay was one to remember. The rooms are welcoming and pleasant to stay in. Comfort comes first for me…Rooms: 5/5
Absolutely amazing hotel! The room… was perfection, the most gorgeous decor, facing outwards to Leicester Square and we couldn’t be happier. 2 minute walk from the underground, super central with loads of shops and bars nearby. Massive thank you to all the team, we will most definitely be coming back.
What an outstanding hotel. The feeling you get as you enter and are greeted by staff is welcoming and warm. Had a brilliant night there and enjoyed the excellent bar service whilst there too. Not too expensive and overall an excellent experience all round.Rooms: 5/5
The hotel was fine. Simple, clean room. Windows had double glass to help with the noise of Leicester Square. Coffee and pastries available for purchase for breakfast. Inexplicably, they were out of normal milk on two mornings. A run to the supermarket nearby would have been the obvious fix. The staff seem overworked as everywhere and my room wasn't ready until 3:30. My rating is lower than it might have been after my first few days because I learned that a fellow hotel guest's room had been broken into and laptop stolen. My room seemed secure, but this was unfortunate.
The hotel has a lovely wine bar with a good selection of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The location is ideal and very close to theatres, to the cinema and other venues. Thank you for the great experience!Service: 5/5
Lovely hotel with stylish rooms, great service also. I know it's not the fault of the hotel but the only downside is how loud it can be outside, I could hear street performers most the time but admittedly you do get used to it. Location is perfect for China town, Soho, and all the other tourist spots.Rooms: 4/5
