A nice park in the community with fabulous cherry blossoms!
Stretford's best kept secret never disappoints, whatever the season.nnA local resource cared for by the community;nat a time when local authority funding for leisure has almost disappeared the Friends of Victoria Park have stepped up to preserve this historic space and keep it accessible and relevant to all.nnAncient trees line the avenues and a wide variety of flora is encouraged and looked after.nnCome here for cherry blossoms in springtime, picnics in the summer, shady respite during heat waves, and colourful vistas in the autumn.nnSports are catered for year-round: tennis, basketball, football, crown bowls, petanque, table tennis, there's even a fitness circuit built into the park
Great place to walk around or take your dog. Everybody chats and is friendly. Victoria park even had a cafe which offers cakes and drinks, with alternative milks as well as vegan cakes. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the locale.
Great open park space in the middle of Stretford. Lots of paths, borders, mature trees as well as open grassy spaces. 2 children's play areas older & younger children, tennis/netball courts, cafe with picnic tables/benches. Such a shame it is so poorly maintained by the council as it is very well used.
Perfect place for community events, local info, lovely gardens, entertaining children in a play area and walking dogs safely. The cafe is very impressive and reasonably priced x
