Had a tandoori chicken takeaway, a favourite dish of mine. It was so dry & bad that I actually threw it out. Such a waste. Surprising judging by the overall ratings & reviews. Sorry.
Have been eating food from viceroy for over 20 years. And can honestly say I have not had a bad meal. Would always recommend.
Their Tarka Dahl is a bit watery but overall, I think their food is pretty good - probably the best Indian in the Consett area.
Best of the Best in Indian food, Used only the Best of quality ingredients, perfectly cooked dishes by Master Chef, perfectly cooked various Nan breads, Tandoori Chef,
Pretty poor curry, perhaps just a bad experience given all of the reviews. One curry was very oily and the other very watery, very disappointed after all of the positive comments.
I've received great food and service for over 8 years. It's my favourite treat.
I have been going to the viceroy for a number of years and the meals and staff are excellent has to be the best take away in the area
Sunday special is good value and food has always been decent.
Viceroy is the best Indian in Consett bar none, cheap, quick service and fantastic meal deals
Ordered tandoori chicken .. was very greasy .. first time had one for a while and wont be in a hurry for another
