Captains is just amazing. Food is great, ALWAYS. The "While You Wait" chips are unique, and give you a taste of what's to come. You do have to wait for your order to be cooked, but you know it will be fresh, and he only uses the premium ingredients. Well worth the wait, and well worth going to even if you don't live locally. I have heard of customers travelling several miles just to get Fish and Chips here. The Masala Fish is incredible. I am so glad this is my local Chippie, there's another one nearby, but honestly, we haven't felt the desire to even try them, as Captains is just so excellent. His Burgers are good too, and they are a lot cheaper, and nicer than any of the fast food burgers. Only quality food is served at Captains!!! From the Burger Family.
Best chip shop in Harrow! My family and I have been frequenting Captain’s chip shop for many years and can hands down say they are the brilliant. Friendly, family run chip shop! Freshly cooked, always great quality. Captain even gives you a few chips while you wait! Prices are very reasonable too along with generous portions!
Fantastic service today! Whilst waiting 6 minutes for our meals, the gentleman politely offered my 2 kids, who were waiting for the food, some chips. As the wait was a lil longer than expected, he offered the girls another portion of chips too generous! They have excellent customer service and the food was piping hot and delicious! The best Fish and Chips shop I only eat from as the service and quality is nothing quite what I have experienced from any other store. Enjoy some freshly served testers as you enjoy a regular catch up with the most warm and homely staff that make you feel like part of the family. Great experience. The customer service is phenomenal to say the least. Chips whilst you wait for your freshly made food, where do you see this in this day and age. You get treated whilst waiting for a treat. A must visit and will review the food after I eat it. Couldn’t wait to say this so had to before I tried the food.
Top for chips! Great portion size although prices up and up. We have good chippies in North harrow and Pinner but this is now the family's favourite. Pleasant staff, too. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Recently refurbished and looks great. Great fish and chips and outstanding customer service, always handing chips out whilst we wait. They don't always accept card which can be frustrating and the fish can be soggy/oily.Food: 4/5
It is a great joy to have this place around the corner from where I live. The best chippy in West London, without a doubt. Seldom does one experience such a high level of customer service along with great quality of food. Each time I have visited Captain's Traditional Fish & Chips, I have been offered complimentary chips to eat while my food is being prepared. The service is excellent, the premises are superb and one of the cleanest 5 Star Hygiene Rating. I am a huge fan and thank you to the wonderful people who own and run this chippy for the fantastic jobs they do! Aamir
Captain Traditional Fish & Chips is absolute delight. The staffs are great and they offer taster's while waiting for your order. It's family business , they gave decorated place very well. Attention to detail in the shops is great. The Parking for the shop will be Tesco express parking which is just opposite to shop. They are following Covid guidelines. I found two things to improve is The Menu is behind the counter which is difficult to read and batterfried fish wrapped with hot chips becomes soggy when u get delivery. I wish all the best for the team and great service.
The owner is so lovely! He gave us some chips while we waited which was not long at all, the fish was lovely, and he even gave my friend a discount as she's a regular. 100% recommend!
