Vauxhall City Farm is a lovely little farm/zoo. It is perfect for a family day out. There are all kinds of animals like chickens, turkeys, rabbits, Guinea pigs, goats, pigs and alpacas. The entry is free but you can make a donation if you want. They offer some food to buy that is appropriate for the goats, pigs and alpacas. The highlight of the place are definitely the baby goats and the alpacas, they are all so friendly and cute. When you give them a palm with food they are very gentle and take the food and eat it. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is also a cafe on sight for drinks and light bites. Such a nice experience!
A hidden gem in an often overlooked part of London. Free entry, although you can donate whatever amount you wish to help with the running of the farm. Quite a range of animals, although the goats were my favourite. We also stopped for a coffee which was nice too.
I love this place! The animals are well fed and those that visit can buy feed to feed them & there’s a good selection of drinks to cool off with. I love love love the birds in the aviary. This is my happy place!
A true city treasure for all ages, a place often overlooked or just plain forgotten that it exists! Our city life is often hectic and often dictated by the value of time, so we often forget to enjoy life, or simply just relax. Watching the animals with the city skyline in the background makes you zen. Why not see the animals that you normally see only on tv, but rather live in full HD.
lovely staff! well maintained. it’s quite small but it’s perfect for a little day out. the alpacas are the highlight of it all! there’s no entry fee but you can donate which I recommend doing and you can also purchase feed for the alpacas and goats. cannot get over the kindness of the staff! thank you guys.
Well I know the CEO here and she is a mother of my kids sisters so I am biased. But the cafe / bar tonight celebrated Black woman history tonight and one of the bands singers celebrated Monica Tyler for turning the farm around and she deserves a big warm shout for her determination, dedication and imagination. Chapeau sister!
Try Deen City Farm in Merton for a better experience, even in the rain. Firstly, the staff were behaving weirdly towards my nephews and I.. the donation machine was taking forever too. When I was rearranging my bag, a woman came up to me and insisted I couldn’t film on a 90s camcorder from fear of sharing online, so no ‘personal use’ filming is allowed. There were fewer animals than I had anticipated, and when we left the woman had an issue with my 8 year old nephew playing with a stick outside the premises. Overall a bizarre and uninviting experience, probably won’t return.
Absolutely great fun, it's a small farm in the middle of the city with alpacas, goats, sheep's, rabbits, pigs etc. You can touch and feed some of the animals and they are all very friendly. Great day out for family and kids and it's free to enter.
I visited here today. It was a lovely farm but small. I wish there were more animals to see like more birds, chinchillas and ferrets. The animals seemed to all get along with each other in their cages. I feel they were also very tamed. The farm was a nice calm and relaxed atmosphere. There is a cafe and a little gift area where you can buy cups and drinking bottles. We bought sandwiches and ate them outside on their bench. Staff did not seem to mind which was good! : There is a one way system due to covid-19 and a volunteer was happy to guide us. There is a toilet and sink area to wash hands after feeding the animals. We did not buy any food for the animals but I think you need to buy it. Pellets come in a small bag. There is a big park area on the opposite side of the farm and there is an area where the goats are. There is also an area for horses to be exercised but did not see any horses at all. There is an allotment area which is closed off as it is staff only. That area did seem nice though. It was funny because pigeons even came to visit the geese area for food and they were not even scared of the big friendly geese. Nice farm for kids and family. :
This a small 'farm' really conveniently located in Vauxhall. The animals are very well cared for and you can pet many of them. Food pellets are £1 and the farm also accepts donations via mobile phone if you want to support them. This farm is fully a charity, unlike some other city farms in London which raises the animals to be sold as food.
