I've visited Vasanth Vilas in East Ham a few times and have had a mix of experiences. The food itself is generally quite good — especially their South Indian dishes like dosa, idli, and their thali meals. The flavors are authentic and the portion sizes are generous for the price. It's a great place if you're craving homestyle Indian comfort food.nnThat said, the service can be a bit inconsistent depending on the time you go. Sometimes it's quick and efficient, other times a bit slow or disorganized. The place gets busy, especially on weekends, so that might be a factor.nnStill, it's a reliable option in East Ham for South Indian cuisine. If they can improve consistency in customer service, it would take the overall experience to the next level.
South Indian items are amazing. In indo chinese, the Gobi Manchurian was great but the Schezwan noodles could have been better, felt they were a bit lacking in flavour.
Good veggie food. There is loads of choice at great prices. I had the Baigan Bhataaubergine with Coconut rice. Coconut rice didn't taste of coconut but was good with onions, chillis, curry leaves and dhal. There passion fruit juice was good. Everyone else got idlis with chutney and samba and vada. They do try to pressure you to do a Google review which is annoying hence the 4/5 stars.
Everything we ordered was tasty! Ghee roast dosa and Podi masala dosa was amazing. Just one suggestion for the restaurant- to keep water glasses clean. Doesn't feel like using those glasses.
Each and every good is tasty, atmosphere is really good but staff is little less so please increase your your staff and please increase your bowl size of sambar. Going to be a regular now
