One star is not enough for these people. I have been sending them emails and trying to call to change my address on their website for months. Absolutely no response whatsoever. Bare in mind, they are quick to take your money every month and take you to court or whatever if you don't pay. But no, to help the people, that is a no. So I guess I just have to try and call and email because I have nothing else better to do
I won't even call it service because this man could not help himself let alone another human being. Richard French is aggressive and rude. The one star is for reception, at least they are able to get back to me and are trying their best to help. This a local council but you'd believe he was the head speaker of the parliament with that sort of attitude. Just a bully that needs to understand that a little respect goes a long way.
I now have rang at least 20 times and pushed so many numbers on my phone as instructed by someone talking and basically i was put in a queue and that was it I'm quite sure now that there is no one working here as that 's what it seems like I would advise people not to pay anything to them and wait for them to send a summons to go to court and explain to whoever is dealing with the problem what you have had to endure No wonder the country's in such a mess
So I accidentally locked myself out of my account. I cant check my council tax. I need to speak to someone as I have had to work from home and my partners hours have also been restricted. I sent an email to ask them to unlock my account but they replied it would take 15 days for a reply. Interesting how when i need to talk to someone no reply but I miss a payment instant reply.
These people are a joke. 30mins on hold and then the phone cut out. Endless computer automated messages and nobody to speak with. €UNT$ Shocking service. Trying to set up council tax is impossible. Millions of useless computer automated phone messages that get you nowhere. As usual a council way below par as it’s impossible to speak with anybody.
I wouldn't bother speaking to anyone on the phone. Extremely rude and extremely unhelpful.
Licensing department : Laura Driscoll and Richard French, two bullies abusing their power, disgusting couple of people, why don’t you all stand aside and let someone do the job that wants to do it, oh I forgot, why would you all leave such a cushy little number, you all forget that you are there for the people and we pay your wages, they think they are so important yet can’t even manage to do their jobs properly, taking drivers off the road due to the council’s lack of urgency or willing to do their job efficiently when times are already tough for us and everyone 12 weeks for you to do a hackney carriage license plate when it used to take 1/2 hour, is not acceptable and wouldn’t be in any other kind of establishment except for the council, unbelievable levels of incompetence and with these two mentioned above at the helm I’m not surprised, How these two can get a job is beyond me Couldn’t organise a good drink in a brewery
Getting charged 11 months when you signed up to 10 payments per tax year. After an infuriating 30 minute phone call they can’t tell you why it’s occurred & say they’ll be in contact within 5 working days. Total shambles
1.4!!! A complete joke of a service, long hold waits, responses that over 30 days, enforcement agents at door, advisors that cut you off, horrific!
Impossible to speak to anyone there, have been trying to reach them for 3 weeks and the telephone auto-reception takes me round in circles and then disconnects after infuriating 15 mins of pressing buttons. Emails are also not answered. After submitting an application there is no way of finding out if it was reached by anyone - only received an email saying I'm not in Vale of White Horse Wantage?! got no further responses to my actual query or the ability to speak to someone. Unbelievable.
