Great service from Dr Fulton / Dr Fenton. Would highly recommend and a very polite individual. Really eased my feelings and concerns. Would recommend this surgery based on this Dr alone.
Honestly I love this GP. Everyone seems to complain about the receptionist but every time i’ve been in there i’ve never had an issue at all they’re all very kind and friendly and very well clued up too! There’s great doctors at this practice- however there is a very small minority of doctors maybe 1 or 2 that you would have to be very unlucky to get. Careless, dismissive and unhelpful - however once you know who to avoid cough Dr Watson cough and find a doctor you get along with and who cares which is most of them tbh, you will have a good experience. I’ve had a really tough time the last month and have had many appointments and they’ve always been so helpful and reassuring. Actually left one of my appointments with a smile just feeling so grateful for them helping me and being generally so lovely. Dr Price is the best i’ve come across she’s the best! I literally never write reviews but I was curious what other people thought and was genuinely shocked. The emergency appointment system is much better from when they used to make you log onto AskMyGP at 8am. Now you can call anytime from 8am to around 12 noon and then that’s when they will start to triage all of their appointments in order or priority for that day. Much fairer, don’t have to be first in the queue just have to have a priority issue. Even routine appointments are quite good now too, longest I waited for an appointment on a routine basis was around 14days. Good for a routine appointment. The late evening appointments eg at 19:30 are a really good idea and very helpful. Only downside is the pharmacy is closed at those times so you’d have to wait till the following morning to pick it up from the pharmacy downstairs. Overall great practice par the couple bad apples.
This is a 5 star GP practice in my opinion. Great service considering all the challenges GP surgeries are facing across the country due to poor governance by a Govt that undervalues their contribution to the nation's general wellbeing and ability to survive and thrive. My GP and their team here have never let me down. It is the specialist services they are trying to refer me onto with two year waiting lists that cause me daily to have to cope with severe anxiety and depression. I have my fave GP but TBF I have seen about 3-4 others and have never been treated any differently. Professional, efficient and compassionate are how I would define the culture of this place. Yeah I'm sure mistakes have been made and just because the NHS is a fantastic asset to us all, doesn't mean it doesn't benefit from receiving constructive criticism when it does something wrong. This place deserves way more than 2.5 stars imo and I've moved around A LOT! Here's a picture of my charity shop Buddha smiling even though he is lost in a jungle of flowers in my backyard.
I went to pick up my elderly mother who has glaucoma and macular, she had waited 1/2 hour before checking if the dietician had turned up. It seems that she hadn't completed the check in screen thouroughly and her appt had been and gone. I told her to check in at reception in future in front of receptionist apparently even though she has bad eyesight she can't do that. Can anybody suggest what she is supposed to do? What happens if you are blind? Absolutely disgraceful, mum was so embarrassed she turned down any future appointments.
Never had a problem until the last two weeks. Arrived for my 11:30 appointment to be told they are 50 mins late. They know my son has needs so why put someone who is vulnerable in a position where they have to sit in a waiting room for so long with a Room full of sick people. Also ADHD. Surely a quick call to say come 50 min later would have been a great way of helping a 10 year old vulnerable child. Who finds it extremely difficult to sit still would have been a way to look after him. What's happened to duty of care. Whem we can get in to the Dr they are great. It's a shame the reception area isn't.
The receptionist is extremely rude! I don’t know what happened to her, maybe her job is kicking the patients out? The ask mygp request is from 8am to 12pm but it is already offline at 08:08. It was not like that before. A phone consultation is one month later! Nurses and GPs are nice but only if you have luck to arrange an appointment, and first deal with the rude receptionist. One staff could ruin the image of whole team or an organisation, the best example ever and the worst experience ever!
From my initial phone call which was answered fairly promptly, after requesting a call back. To the receptionist who called me into the surgery to see a doctor. Then the doctor's attention and kindness. I have nothing but praise, about my personal experience today.
I used to have a lot of confidence in this practice but this is no longer the case. I use Ask My GP as suggested and request a response from a named doctor and ideally via email as I work full time and can't answer calls. Despite this, I get a missed call and then nothing. Why have an online system if the main way the staff respond is by phone? How does that help patients who aren't able to take a call during working hours. My query didn't warrant a call, an email reply would have sufficed. Now I feel that if I miss the call again my request will be closed.
This practise has gone from very good to being quite poor these days. I phoned to request an appointment with a doctor. All they would give me was an appointment three weeks later with a nurse. I believed that was face to face. But I have since learnt its a phone call. I have been in considerable pain in my leg for 4 weeks now. Whicexplained
I have always found the staff obliging and helpful l am always given an appointment on the same day of calling them or next day
