Posh as you like, but it is very nice. Make sure to check out the local art scene, more often than not there seems to be some kind of outside art installation here, which can be great to go and see!
Grosvenor Gardens are two nice green spaces next to the hectic Victoria Station. It is formed by two small triangular gardens few meters one from the other Lower and Upper Grosvenor Gardens. The northern / upper garden is more quiet and it contains the impressive Lioness and Lesser Kudu sculpture.
Beautiful grounds, perfect for sitting in on your lunch break. However if you are visiting london and want to have a picnic, try Hyde Park or Green Park.. they are beautiful and are huge!
I visited during fall so it was cold as expected. I loved the antelope-and-lion stature at the middle of one of the gardens. Just note they're two similar triangular gardens, located diagonally to each other.
Quiet and nice. Great place to read a book if cars aren’t honking.
I had passed these spaces many times but never paused until today to look at the interesting features - an equestrian statue of Marshal Foch and the huts adorned with shells in the lower garden now complemented by a pink Corgi called Heather and the dynamic Lioness and Lesser Kudu sculpture in the upper garden.
Great place of respite, despite being in close proximity to main road. Close to Buckingham Palace, so good quiet stopover green square before you venture into the madness again.
Nice, except for the homeless guy doing a wee by the entrance. Thanks for that. Had you waited one more minute, security opened the gate for us to enter the gardens.
Nice small secluded area, great for getting away from the London foot traffic for a quick breather. One bench was broken and sinking into the ground so could do with a bit of maintenence but no major complaints.
Fantastic for taking an elderly dog to do her business. She especially likes the bushes round the outside. Perfect for having a sneaky cigarette when you aren't allowed to do so at your extremely expensive mansion flat because of your missus. Statues are interesting but practically demand that small children ride them.
