I studied at UWL few years ago. I studied Midwifery. Some of the lecturers are very supportive and others are just nothing to write home about. I went through a lot during my clinical placement and I asked for support. That turned me into a student who complains according to the lectures. One of the lecturers hated me so much and made my life miserable for me. I went through all manner of psychological issues during this time. I would never recommend UWL for a midwifery degree .

The university does not seem to take student concerns seriously, especially when it comes to financial difficulties.nnI faced issues related to fees and support, but despite reaching out multiple times, my situation was not properly addressed. It often felt like the focus was more on collecting money than actually helping students who are struggling.nnCommunication was poor, and responses were either delayed or unhelpful. There was a lack of empathy and understanding from the administration when dealing with genuine student problems.nnI would not recommend this university to students who may need support during their studies, particularly in challenging financial situations
As an international student, it is disappointing to invest a significant amount of money only to attend lectures where instructors primarily read from slides, within a classroom environment that offers very limited diversity. The business school lacks meaningful real-world teaching experience and delivers a level of instruction that does not meet the standards one would expect from an posgraduated course in a education system in a so called first world country.
I studied midwifery here. The university is close to brentford station and is easy to assess. Some midwifery staff like sara are supportive but the rest if you complain make your life hard. Was targeted and bullied here yet the teachers did nothing and they supported the bully. Staff here apart from a few are very unprofessional and dishonest. Avoid
Extremely unsupportive university. Egregiously disorganised. Exceptionally UNPROFESSIONAL staff. They couldn’t care less about students. Student Union takes ages to respond if you have a complaint or if you need guidance. They do absolutely nothing if you are being bullied. Lecturers hardly respond to emails. If you are thinking of coming here - don’t bother. If you don’t listen then you’d have to see what I’m talking about yourself. ONE OF MY BIGGEST REGRETS! Good luck!
