HND's in certain subjects will not get you admission into second year, whereas HNC's in the same subject will which is a lower level. Completely bonkers and broken system. NB. If you're an international student they may "waive" certain requirements for very obvious reasons. Students from a more humble disposition... well... That's another story. So much for the "widening participation" nonsense they keep spouting about. Organisation is kaput!
Amazing TEDx conference is organized in this university every year with speakers coming from all over the world to share inspirational ideas and innovative solutions for global challenges. Highly recommended to attend both the event and the university!
Excellebt place to learn and get Masters, PG diploma , and international collabration. People help to internation students and there are many courses to learn and there consultancies such edelweiss help in getting placement.
In the heart of Glasgow city the University of Strathclyde is just awesome. It's near to Glasgow college. Public transportation by bus is available. The university different departments are nearby at walking distance but not all in same building. The campus is huge, mind-blowing and very modern. There are students from many nationality. Just loved the place
Stinkin of pish, dirty ad hard to get up the hill next to it I feel sorry for anyone going to here
Almost 4 years in and looking forward to be done with my engineering degree. It wasn’t fun before covid and it is worse now. I would not recommend to study here - or at any university for that matter. Most of what you will learn, you can learn better and faster on internet.
Here for "learning" - great environment.
I hated studying here! Spent a terrible year studying masters at stratclyde. Paid 20 000 pounds. The uni is only money oriented, no proper teaching of the course. No practice at all, just the theory that you should learn on your own from youtube! They can only give you tasks, but never teach anything. There was only one young guy R. who basically was the only one capable of doing something and who replied to the questions, almost everything is on him. All the student "support" you gonna get will be the group zoom calls sent to hundreds of students! Also, pay attention that most of the 5-star reviews were given by random people that did not study there. But just passed by the location, saw the buildings, or participated in the conferences, events, went to the swimming pool etc. Do not waste your money and time on studying at Strathclyde, I'm pretty sure you will regret it as much as I did!
Worst school experience ever. The whole school seems completely disorganized and unprepared. They really just care about the money, if they coerced us into enrollment without a solid plan. I can barely get an acceptable response from anyone, one professor hasn't even responded to any of my emails. Hardly recieved any helpful recommendations from professors regarding course work. Never have I felt so unsupported in academia. I don't understand how the Social Policy and Welfare programs were ranked so highly. I honestly expected way better. Not to mention accommodation. I drew the line when a staff member told me to sleep on a park bench at 3am in November simply for asking for my spare key and the University did nothing.
Really nice place to study and grow as a professional.
