A great place to study, it’s also a great place to live. Every day you encounter new cultures, interests and backgrounds. Your Kent experience will be completely unique and will equip you for every aspect of your life and career. The cost of studying at university is made up of two main elements: academic costs and living costs. Academic costs include your tuition fees plus any additional expenses associated with studying your degree. These can range from printer credits and textbooks to a term or year abroad. When you are choosing which course to study, it's important to consider these additional expenses to find out how much university will cost. Living costs include accommodation, food, clothes, laundry, socialising, travel and emergencies. What you spend during your studies depends on your course, accommodation and lifestyle. If it's the first time you have had to budget, use our living costs page to get an idea of the expenses involved.

The campus is okay. Definitely not for every student. Some can take something along, some can't. Like everywhere it depends on what you do with this information given. Canterbury is a nice and peaceful town. It's a bit boring, but it's a good thing because you won't get much of distraction from your study. You can walk from the campus to the city center in half an hour. If you live on campus, don't buy the bus pass - it's not necessary.

Not worth what you pay in tuition and accomodation!. University rankings are a lie why should you pay £60000 for a education like this .. Accommodation is poor with bugs and pests!!, we had a tiny kitchenette with only a microwave between 8 other people and 1 disgusting shower and revolting toilet between 8 people. The receptionists in accommodation are extremely rude!! Overall my experience of studying at the university was awful, lecturers or seminar leaders were often not able to speak English clearly and would not put the recordings up on Moodle as they had been told. Often there were no seats in lectures either. I am a student with numerous disabilities and I received no support from the university my stress and eating got so bad that I ended up getting worse anxiety and depression here and I had shingles because of my stress. I would not recommend the university of kent halls if you want to make loads of freinds at the university halls are so small. I couldn't make any freinds as there was no social area or kitchen so I ended up being alone on Freshers and socially isolated the rest of the time I was here. I really regret my time spent here , I feel like I wasted a lot of money .

I was invited to join some friends for a park run at the uni, which was fun. It was well run. There were people there trying to get us to sign up to go and see them for treatment at Hope Spinal Wellness. My friend and I went along as it seemed like a good idea at the time. But when we went to HSW, we were shocked by the extortionate fees and sales patter. I think it was an older lady called Veronica and one of her staff. When we spoke with others, we soon realised that others were getting the same pressure sales, for what is meant to be a running event to help fitness. It was stressful, horrible and lead to my friend and I have decided to join another park run in Whitstable. Nice run and mostly nice people, but if you do go, beware of the people who wear Hope Spinal Wellness t-shirts. They are probably lining you up to sign up for treatment at their business!
