Lots of different eras of architecture, with weird wee alleyways and stairwells getting you from one place to another. Particularly loved the D shaped red Edwardian architecture of The Aston Webb Building, Old Joe Clock Tower, The Lapworth Museum of Geology, The Aston Webb Erratic Boulder, and the statues dotted around the campus. Ate at it's indoor University Centre Metro Deli. In close proximity to University Birmingham BR Station, Metchley Roman Fort and a conglomerate of hospitals.
This review is purely on outsiders looking for an activity for 3/4 hours. Beautiful architecture. I’d recommend starting at the lapworth museum - Aston web - walk around the campus - Barbour institute of fine arts and then finish off at Winterbourne house and gardens. All but the last one is free. If you don’t mind a bit of walking it’s a hidden gem.
Birmingham University offers a vibrant academic atmosphere with a diverse range of programs and excellent research opportunities. The campus itself is impressive, providing modern facilities and resources for students. The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, fostering a stimulating learning environment. However, some may find the city's pace overwhelming, but it also offers a rich cultural experience. Overall, Birmingham University stands out for its academic quality and resources but might not suit everyone due to the city's bustling nature
studying here for my exchange program, I love the university; the academic atmosphere, the pretty buildings, and the various activities.
Beautiful campus. With red brick buildings, modern buildings on the same premise. Will be a lovely walk on the campus on a sunny day. It is a garden-like campus. Looks even more impressive at night. Most beautiful university campus I have been to!
Nice campus, and easy to get there by train. The station is called "University". But it's quite a big campus, and poorly signposted. The campus map signs are too small to help at a distance. Quite interesting and a lot more to see than I had time for on my visit.
The University of Birmingham offers top-notch academics, modern facilities, and a vibrant campus life. With diverse programs, supportive faculty, and ample opportunities for research and extracurriculars, it's an excellent choice for students seeking a well-rounded educational experience in the UK.
Well-reachable location just outside of Birmingham City Centre with a beautiful green campus, especially in summer. The university campus is always clean and patrolled by site security, and is signposted clearly.
Came here for a conference. What a beautiful campus and university. So many lovely places for walking.
Visitor car parks are not signposted anywhere. Lots of staff permits and no parking signs. Couldnt find the multi storey car park you talk about on your website. "North East Multi Storey car park access via Pritchatts Road Sat Nav Postcode B15 2SA" there is a staff permit car park near gisbert kapp building.
