Absolutely beautiful venue. Attended a university graduation ceremony yesterday and what a memorable day it was! Ushers were very helpful providing us with guidance to ensure we enjoyed our experience. Refreshments were provided after the ceremony.
Well what can I say about our wedding at Putteridge Bury? We found this beautiful old stately home when searching online during the worrying times of Covid. After viewing a handful of venues, we knew right from our first visit, this was the place for us. A stunning property with a wonderful story as well as beautiful features and views all around the building. The packages available were by far and away the best value for money and again referring to the actual presentation of the venue, the friendliness and knowledge of the staff we met and the ease in which we found it to book viewings, it was in the end an easy choice. We met with Kayleigh on our first visit and we all immediately hit it off. She answered all our questions and anything that couldn’t be answered on the spot, we quickly got the information we requested after she went away to enquire. A massive deal breaker for us was the fact that the venue welcomed my best man to be part of our day. That be my 6 year old French Bulldog. Comparing the packages to other venues, I still can’t believe 3 weeks since our wedding day the price we paid for the more expensive “Orchid Package”. No other venue came close to offering the same value & to be honest, in our opinion, the prices certainly could be much greater for the quality you get. We got to test the menu of which was again exceptional. Even when we were unsure of our final choices we were afforded the opportunity to go in for a second tasting evening as the venue was keen for us to get our choices just right. Kayleigh was so very helpful with this and throughout. Though I may have annoyed her by the end something she has strongly denied!, she still managed to ease this “Groomzilla’s” mind on more than one occasion! Our ceremony was absolutely perfect. The package included table flowers from a local florist the venue recommended, chair sashes and we also added extras for the ceremony with these company’s with great ease. The room was absolutely stunning. It was also perfect for my best man to feel extra comfortable and all the staff there also welcomed my four legged friend with open paws! Fabulous drinks reception which also gave us ample time to take photographs and make our guests feel comfortable and welcome. All this then led to our dinning area plan of which I was so so very anxious about because I had to relinquish most of the responsibility from that point on as the staff set this up following my detailed plan. They took a great weight off my shoulders and right before my eyes the venue staff made our dream wedding a reality. Simply incredible. It was everything I personally dreamed of and more. My beautiful wife was then presented with this vision and due to the venue’s attention to detail and hard work, she was blown away. Everything from start to finish was perfect, we even got perfect weather! This venue is an absolute gem and with no doubt in our minds whatsoever... we can honestly say this was the best day of our lives and everyone at Putteridge Bury Conference Centre played a massive part in making this happen. Genuinely everything was spot on, maybe the only one minute problem we can bring up is we forgot our cake knife that came with the package! So don’t forget that if you make the right decision and choose Putteridge for your wedding! Thank you so much and we wish you all the best for the future. Love you guys. Attended a graduation here. The venue is stunning and we were able to take some amazing photos. The gardens are gorgeous and it even has a big pond. We were able to make fabulous memories and the staff made the whole ceremony smooth sailing. Many thanks!
Lovely old building with loads of character. The staff seem excellent and our event was great too. As an events space, it's very flexible.
A sad occasion of a family funeral made so so much more bearable and if one may say enjoyable by the staff, the food and the general welcoming relaxed ambiance of the location, building and most impressively the efficiency kindness and professional service seamlessly delivered. Lovely environment and surrounding with make it one of the best place to study, especially during my MBA it's ancient architecture given the opportunity to explore the British art.
I recently studied here for a top up degree and what a lovely place to study. The gardens are very pretty and the function rooms are great. Really pretty venue that is often used for weddings and funerals. I also helped at a conference here and the staff were incredibly helpful with everything we required To help it run smoothly. We had some issues with microphones during the presentations but the IT staff did everything they could to assist us. The food for the conference was not great though I have to say. The chicken was undercooked and very bland to the point I couldn’t eat it. However the meals at university are always pleasant. Other than the food for the conference, great place very helpful staff.
We have just had our wedding reception here on the 20th august. And we can’t be happier with the staff and the layout of the reception room were perfect. The staff were brilliant on the day and so helpful. Kayleigh was brilliant leading up to our special day and was so helpful and very professional throughout . I will be definitely recommending Putteridge bury to all my friends and family. Thank you all for making our day perfect.
Went here for an interview day and thoroughly enjoyed it. I studied Computing Technology in the early- mid 80's at Putteridge Bury and it was great to return and see the house as it is now. We were well fed as part of the package obviously paid for by my soon to be employer. Definitely worth trying this venue should you have the opportunity.
Hired a room. Buffet food laid on was excellent. The weather and the setting was ideal. Thank you all for a day to remember.
