The initial experience of selecting and paying the deposit for the carpet was fine, but on the day of fitting we received a call asking us if we had "lifted" the carpets. Apparently it was stated on the invoice in fine print that we would have to lift/ remove the old carpets ourselves. We agreed to pay an extra for the removal, but would have preferred this this was made clear when billing, not on the day! The carpet fitters did the job of removing the old and fitting the new carpets but made a right mess, leaving the excess bits of carpet and fluff all over the place. We spent ages cleaning after them.
