Went there for quick dinner for my son.I ordered chicken burger and the bun was literally rotten and u can see green spots over it .went to chef and he simply handed me another one and throw that away. Fries were absolutely dry and burned and when I asked he said they are fresh . I attached a photo .worst experience ever won’t come here again for sure.
Nice cafe by Deer Park with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a decent menu, and if you’d like to enjoy the rare sunny day outside they also have a coffee stall and sandwich/wrap options to go. The views are the best bit, you can see both Deer park and the sea, even Poolbeg chimneys!
This is a superb cafe. Plenty of parking available at premises or at church car park beside. Book in advance for indoor seating. Outdoor dining area is heated and covered. Had breakfast here and if was perfect. Portions were large and food was delicious. Staff were efficient and very friendly. 5 stars from me and I couldn't recommend Union Cafe highly enough. UPDATE: Different staff but still the same friendly atmosphere. Love it!
Food is mediocre, service is seriously lacking. They couldn't even give me a spoon for my soup. Toast was cold, paté more like industrial cheap mousse. 20€ service charge is extorsion considering the staff is completely useless and doesn't even check in to see if things are alright which they were most certainly not. The furniture is dingy and cheap, many chairs broken and tables uneven. Overall extremely overpriced, this place has nothing going for it.
Really cool place for food and drinks. There are seats outside perfect for when the weather is nice. They also have a big screen for spots fans
God, have eaten in this place, and now I see in the Irish Times today, Tuesday 18th of April 2023, that they were closed by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland in March 2023 for a few days because of rodent droppings and lack of cleaning and disinfecting. Just awful
We ate lunch twice recently in the Union Cafe in Mt Merrion. Both times the food was very good. Also the atmosphere is warm and the staff very efficient and friendly. Definitely going to be regulars from now on ! TB
We had a wonderful evening in Union cafe. The food & Service was amazing . We celebrated R wedding anniversary & the staff & management could not have done enough 4 us . Absolutely ten out ten all round . I'd highly recommend Union Cafe 2 family & friends
I was really looking forward to trying Union Cafe but was left very disappointed with a literal bad taste in my mouth. I ordered avocado on toast with poached eggs. The bread was stale and soggy, the avocado tasted like packaged guacamole and was already browning and the salad leaves that came with it were yellowing and rotten. I didn't risk the eggs. The only bonus is that it is dog friendly.
The full irish breakfast doesn't include a drink. Nearly a fiver on top for a small cup of something warm. Is it Either mad expensive or untrained staff ? EVERY other eatery in Dublin gives free tea/coffee with a full irish.
