I recently visited this charming little cafe for a quick meal and a cup of coffee. I ordered the meatball and cheese ciabatta along with a black coffee, and I found a seat to wait. Although the wait felt a bit longer than expected, it was well worth it when the food finally arrived. I was blown away by how absolutely fantastic it was. I had requested the ciabatta without any extras, just meatballs, cheese, and rocket, and to my surprise, they got it exactly right. It's a rarity these days to find a cafe or restaurant that actually listens carefully when a picky eater like myself orders. Overall, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere of the cafe added to the enjoyable experience. I'm looking forward to my next visit to indulge in another delightful meatball treat.
Grabbed a mushroom and cheese toasty from here and really wasn’t impressed. The toasty was very bland and quite boring, and was nothing more than what could be made at home. The service was okay, and local staff not overly friendly. There are several tables inside and more outside.
I was looking for somewhere to have lunch and I've found this lovely and cosy coffee shop. I've ordered the salad bowl which I loved. I also grabbed a coffee to go, one of the best I've tried these days during my holidays in Dublin. Truly recommended. I'll be back for sure. Good price, delicious food and coffee.
The food and location of this cafe is all good and the coffee itself is fine. However in particular two of the staff the short stocky fella and the tall girl are just particularly unfriendly and totally disinterested in their jobs. It feels like making an order is resented and a massive inconvenience to them which even when not busy and it just puts me off going, especially when there are other places nearby with good food/coffee and extremely kind staff. I should add that the shorter girl who works there is pleasant and respectful of customers, and the other staff members seem totally normal. Looking at the other reviews over the last 2 years, it seems I'm not alone in getting this impression... I feel sorry for the owner as no doubt these people turn on the charm when needed
Coffee was good. They had gluten-free and vegan desserts to munch on. The place is a little crowded, and the bathroom is a really tight fit. The staff was knowledgeable.Food: 4/5
The place was looking very good, !so I decided to try it. My first impression was the rude staff, one told girl and short guy The coffe wasn't the best, they don't have cups what a bad experience. I don't recomend itFood: 2/5
Cafe Java provides a nice menu in Sanymount village and when out walking often stop for coffee there. The coffee and the food are excellent however the staff are not the friendliest. I suppose they are under pressure but it would really add to the "village atmosphere" in the village I grew up in if they were a little happier.
Good latte, blt tasty. Had very bad back but still had to stand to order when fairly obvious. Sandymount lovely and buzzing Sunday afternoons Parking: free street parking on road on Sundays only
Absolutely the rudest staff I've ever come across there was a male and female cashier I asked for hot water for coffee and you'd swear I asked for 5 course meal she made a face was only short of throwing it at me I asked could I have coffee in a cup instead of paper and I was told very abruptly we don't do cups what kind of a cafe doesn't have cups?as another reviewer said close this place andake way for new cafe it was a good place yrs ago but don't waste your money with this terrible service.
A small café where you can also sit outside offering a high variety of teas, sandwiches, bagels and salads. Very nice and quick service. The right thing for you when you are looking for a place to have a good and fast breakfast.
