Took my Mum for lunch here today, lovely atmosphere and great value for money. I had the Shropshire pork that was absolutely beautiful and Mum decided on the Ploughman's lunch which she said was lovely! Would highly recommend! Definitely will be back again!
Refurbishment has not changed this lovely country pub. Always busy. Found that just after midday is ideal time as always tables available. The food is plentiful and freshly cooked. Bar service is welcoming and friendly and waitresses are helpful, polite and efficient. A regular place for us to visit and would recommend
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch. Between the five of us we had the pork, beef, Turkey and the chicken and leek pie, good portion size and good selection of vegetables, glad we left room for pudding as they were delicious. The service was excellent, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend.
Traveling down from Yorkshire to meet up with family who live in Tamworth we needed a place where we could park our campervan and book a table. We called the Unicorn firstly asking if they had a table available secondly could we park up & stay in our van overnight yes was the answer. We had a great meal everyone in our party had no complaints regarding the food we enjoyed the surroundings and the staff were marvelous. Our Tamworth family were all too eager to return to try out the Sunday dinner it had better be roast beef and Yorkshire puds. We've got nothing to say other than a big thanks to the owner and the staff for being so welcoming and helpful in allowing us to park up overnight. I'm sure our relatives will enjoy further meals in the Unicorn.
Have been a few times now and the food is always great both the main menu and the rotating specials. They have a rotating specials board for both mains and dessert with a good selection of drinks behind the bar to accompany. It usually gets busy, so a good idea to book ahead if you want a table. For those with kids they are kid friendly and have a good selection on the kids menu to satisfy everyone. Definitely recommend this place if your ever in the area or visiting twycross zoo just a short drive down the road.
Great night, was my first works do, in quite a few years. Food was good and there was a good portion of everything. The staff were lovely, very friendly. The entertainment was excellent as well Baby Love- Motown classics.Food: 5/5
So booked a table ended up in the bar no problem, we had the Tuesday steak deal. What a lovely pub clean and the staff are very good. Now the food I am not fond of thick chips but this were gorgeous, peas and mushrooms plus tomato well enough said. Now the Steak mine was really tough but also we were steak knife that properly didn’t help, at no time did anyone come and ask us if everything was ok. # The wife’s one was ok, I was recommended to go because they said the food was brilliant. Would I go back not sure.

Lovely menu with lots of choice and a specials board to boot. Friendly staff and efficient service once you realise you order at the bar . Beer choice is poor, only Doom Bar was on hand pump which certainly is not a favourite of mine. I wasn't drinking so can't comment on how it tasted.
Nice pub, had a lovely lunch. The kids pizza was a little dry, though I have a fussy kid so that doesn't help but otherwise everything was great.Food: 4/5
