Pleasant village pub, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Didn't eat here so cannot comment on food.Service: 4/5
We decided to try this pub after many of our friends recommended this place And it didn’t disappoint The food is amazing and great value for money It came out hot and on time The waitress was great too advising us on the best dishes to have as I couldn’t decide, as the menu is extensive and varied. Will definitely be coming here again Kid-friendliness: The staff were very friendly to my daughter and there is a lovely beer garden out the back where she could play whilst we waited for our food to arrive
A very nice thatched roof country pub on the outskirts of Tamworth. I opted for a rather unusual gooseberry ale and was rather pleased with it. I had a look at the menu and thought I will return and edit this review.Service: 4/5
Excellent country pub of the best quality. Will certainly visit again, and will never bypass Tamworth without stopping in and saying hello to the friendly staff and having a good beer and meal.Food: 5/5

We booked Christmas Day lunch for three at the Bird in the Hand. On the day one of our party was taken ill, and I rang and asked if the Restaurant could convert our booking into something I could collect and eat at home. I would imagine this was a tall order on what would have been a very busy day and that they may not be geared up for 'takeaways'. Despite this - Gareth remained amiable and was nothing but professional and accommodating. I collected our three courses and finished them off at home. The food was really good too. When I did go to collect the restaurant was nicely laid out, the atmosphere seemed very nice and everyone was having a good time. Will certainly book next year.
The beer is very well looked after, and always there is a good choice - bit of a trip for us but we never regret it. Food I had was excellent. Why then it was very quiet on a Friday lunch time when pub chains serving heated up second rate food can get busy. Recently won an award and well deserved Parking: car park attached to the pub
Easy to find, nice destination pub. Food was excellent. Fish and chips and a Cajun Chicken Burger. Ample portions. Great set-up and attentive staff. Ralph was a delight.
