Had an absolutely beautiful focaccia sandwich thing with goats cheese and brie. Coffee was good too although some places have a distinct flavour to their coffee and this wasn't the case at Ugly Bread. Not a serious issue though. The seating upstairs feels really nice and cosy and service was very quick.

Needs better training for the staff. Came in and someone took our order, all fine. A veryyy long wait because the girl at the register just really didn’t know what she was doing. It took so long that our food was ready before we had even paid. She messed up the first order before us then we tried to explain that we are paying separately and she ignored us until she had finished what she was doing (no nod or acknowledgement literally as though we had said nothing). Annoyingly there were three other members of staff behind the counter who could have been doing the jobs that the lady at the register was doing (such as making coffees etc) to speed up the process. I ordered a chocolate roll thing at the till too. As our food was already ready and the other girl was ready to take it to our seats she asked us where we were sat and we took her to where we would like to sit. No complaints. However the girl behind the till just got the chocolate roll out while we were upstairs and left it on the side. We assumed as it was table service it would be brought up (it was not put on the counter while we were there), but no. (It wasn’t busy). So after we had finished our very okay meal, my boyfriend went downstairs to ask and the girl said ‘oh yes you forgot it’ ??? I’m not one to complain and I work in customer service but it really was embarrassingly bad service and someone who knows how to run a place needs to be there. Might be a one off thing but I won’t waste my time next time.

Great spot for a coffee or lunch. Pizzas are great value and unusually one person sizes, no more post-pizza nap required!

Love this place. Atmospheric surroundings - although they could do with turning the heating up a tad! Food fresh and tasty. You seem to pay a premium for this, but overall well priced

Food was delicious. Tasted like proper italian style dough . very nice coffee. We will be back.
