Visited on a Friday morning with my Father as part of a long weekend. Skipped breakfast at the hotel and wanted something local & different.  We came upon this whilst walking through the city centre and gave it a bash.  A whole manner of breads, confections & pizzas are available fresh from the counter.  Cheddar, Basil, Tomato & Pesto Foccacia Hot Chocolate  Black Americano Coffee Yum Yum  I had the bread. I was expecting it as a sandwich but was very pleased to see it had a trip into the pizza oven. A delicious and delicate way to start our day. The hot Chocolate was very good also with a thick foam on top and a decently flavoured drink beneath.  A trendy interior for student types & business people to do a couple emails with a bite to eat. Would visit again if I was in the city.

Tried to overcharge me by ten pound which they initially denied then said the previous customers order hadn't cleared the till when they paid. First sandwich had little filling and that consisted mainly of pickle and when I showed the waitress she did apologize, although second one purchased at own cost was lovely.Food: 2/5

This morning, I went to Ugly Bread Bakery with two friends to buy some sandwiches. We were served by a really friendly and attentive young man at the till, who was very polite and provided great customer service. However, I feel I need to mention something that I find a bit uncomfortable to bring up, but it’s important. There was a strong odour coming from him, and it seemed like there might be a hygiene issue. I’m surprised no one working with him has noticed this, as it was quite noticeable. I hope this can be addressed discreetly, as it affected our experience.

Pizza making experience as a work social at ugly bread was the perfect choice. We had the whole place to ourselves and were served beautiful canapes, delicious pizzas created by us and lovely dessert. Jade and her amazing team set this up so seamlessly for so many of us! The food was laughable that they thought it was acceptable to serve. The service felt like they thought they were above you and you were lucky to be in their presence. The atmosphere tried to be trendy but ended up being dry and forcedFood: 2/5

Cosy bakery. Visited in the morning had no idea what I was ordering as it wasn't completely clear what the selection was - but they all looked great so I picked one with brie and some kind of salami. It was toasted in the large oven behind the counter and within a couple of minutes I had a really delicious fresh hot sandwich. Staff were super polite and friendly and the whole place had a great vibe. Must say, I didn't really care about not knowing what I'd ordered - but if I ever return I won't be able to order the same ... That being said,I'd be happy to try any of their sandwiches.

cosy little place! great coffee and really good food too! plenty of good vegetarian and vegan options, as well as different deals on depending on the day too. Have tried both the pizza and filled focaccia - both of which have been delicious! would absolutely recommend, great affordable lunch spot - and they also do a student discount!!

We had a pizza party here for my sisters hen and the whole team were fantastic. We had such a great time, the food was delicious and our host was amazing! Would highly recommend for a pizza making party - thanks so much everyone!

A truly independent business that brings you quality food at really affordable prices. The bread quality is outstanding with fresh ingredients.  It serves all type of dietary requirements. The staff were very friendly and informative.  If you look for a breakfast or lunch spot, this is certainly my recommendation.  Vegetarian options: There several choices.  You can also customise.
