This place really has everything you could think of to buy or hire for dressing up. I recently purchased full feather wings for my daughter's nativity and they really made a difference. They also do balloons for all occasions and little joke gifts.
This is a fantastic little shop. if your theatre and need make up they have it. all party's costumes .theams for all parties .example pirate. Princess. blow up Parm trees .flowers Champaign bottle s. foil balloons. which they fill with helium if you want.table cloths. cups .plates .party bags. gifts .games. practical jokes.puzzels. fireworks .and all things Halloween x very inexpensive and top quality x

I have found this long-established local family-run business certainly 'know their stuff' through generations of their experience, -and give an all too rare 'personal' touch to customers -whether spending £££'s or pence! The shop has a long tradition of selling a large range of jokes, novelties, decorations etc. for all occasions, ranging from traditional 'schoolboy' pranks and jokes rubber insects/biscuits/fart sweets etc. to a large range of up-to-the-minute latex masks -including celebrities, horror-characters, Halloween etc. Also at Halloween, you will find everything from rubber warts to full-size robotic monsters! -as also large range of up-to-the-minute fancy dress and character costumes. You will also find decorations for parties including helium balloons etc; as well as party and board games, jigsaw puzzles etc.-everything right through to cracker-snaps for those who can somehow unbelievably it seems still find the time and enthusiasm to make their own personalised Christmas-crackers! I have learned that if I can't find what I am looking for, then just ask -as they often manage to unearth just what you may be looking for from deep in their stock room!! Also, rather than looking on the Internet and risking disappointment when products arrive, I have learned to try U-Need-Us first! The staff have interest and extensive experience in everything they sell so can advise on what is worth using and what else may be available -even to personal advice on their range of theatrical make-up etc. For an independent business, their prices are usually extremely competitive -and of course, you can see and handle before you buy -and no postage or packing to pay! Former Portsmouthians often ask if U-Need-Us is still there? They most certainly are!! I honestly cannot really recommend this long-established Portsmouth 'Institution' too highly -and long may it continue 'yesterday. today, the same forever'!

Amazing shop! Just like I remember when I was a kid... Everyone needs to go and support and absolute timeless classic of a shop.. finger trap chewing gum! Plastic dog poop, fly in the ice cube!!
Brilliant shop for every type of party accessory. Staff are very helpful if needed. With St Patrick's day coming soon we will be in.
