Nothing wrong with the vehicle, as that was absolutely perfect. However I was appalled by the level of customer service at U-Drive in Poole and how poorly they dealt with their own mistake. I booked a minibus on the 8th January, one month in advance of the date that we would be using it. Booking was simple, easy, affordable and I was quite pleased with the service at that stage. However, the DAY BEFORE our hire at 3pm I had a frantic call stating that they couldn't insure me because of my occupation. To make matters worse, they would not allow me to be in the vehicle WHATSOEVER as a passenger, again due to my occupation (?!?) and were apathetic to the problematic situation they had placed me in, offering no reasonable solutions to how I could obtain a minibus at such short notice elsewhere. After I suggested getting someone else insured on the vehicle, they agreed this was fine and told me I would have to drive in my own car behind the minibus. This is despite them not asking if any other passenger had the same occupation as myself AND despite the fact they were made aware of my job upon booking the vehicle in January. The agent who called me said they don't check insurance until the day before hire, which is why this was not picked up sooner. If so, this is an irresponsible way to organise your hires as, had I not had someone else in the group who could be insured on the vehicle, our entire weekend would have been ruined and we would have been left with no transport. A number of other issues which I won't raise here. While the minibus was faultless and booking the vehicle was easy, U-Drive should take more responsibility of their own mistakes when they screw customers over at the last minute, for reasons that make no sense.

Great service, Quick and efficient. Hired a Volkswagen Transporter for the day, vehicle was clean, modern and high spec. Will be back!

Great service generally, although wasn’t informed that where I parked my car would be blocked in when returning the van late at night which resulted in a very grumpy hour and a struggle to find somewhere to park a big ol’ van overnight and then an early morning to return it before 8.30. Kinda frustrating. But everything else was good. Hey ho.

Best value of all hire companies approached for 1 week hire (2figures). I was panicking that I would get trouble as there was some damage to a wheel which I had not seen on collection (in the dark). I accepted the car 'damage free!'. Luckily I take a video clip of every car, which would have been my case for challenge, but on this occasion the lad at Udrive checked a previous assessment and saw the damage marked on the drawing of the wheel. Phew! Thank you for taking the time Nathan.
