Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was served quickly and tasted good, it's basic pub grub but they've got it right. There was plenty of seats on a weekday lunch time and lots of room in car park. Would reccomend this pub.
Excellent service from Ele, the food was amazing. The total evening was great, helped by great staff and a lovely atmosphere. It is well worth a visit for a lovely night out. Good value for money and will go back again. Thank you Ele for your great service, you helped make it a special night for us all.
Brilliant pub! Great selection of beers Hobgoblin IPA on tap plus all the Brains selection. Food was excellent & well priced. Loads of parking. Just off the A470 so very convenient. Opposite a popular garden centre which meant we visited both. Highly recommend.
Yesterday was the first time I visited. We had a group lunch booking and everyone was ordering and paying individually. Most of us ordered and paid via QR and it was easy enough. The food was delivered quite quickly and was pleasant. When we left, we saw that the place was completely full, so well done to the team there for their organisational skills. I'll definitely go back and try more items from their menu.
As I came in I waited at the booking station - which is stupidly right by the doorway and not enough room for people to queue and to walk in and out. I was stood there waiting and no one came, so I approached the bar. After waiting in the queue, I said hello I have a booking, he told me to go wait by the door, I said I have been waiting there and explained there was no one there, he said well there should be. I walked back over to the door and waited, the lady came over, didn’t even greet us or say I’ll be with you in a moment, just went on the computer for a few minutes and went I’ll be back and walked off. She then came back and said have you got a booking, I said yes and gave my name, she then prompted me to a table and told me I could order online. I wrote on the notes for a high chair to be supplied for the baby, I had to get the high chair myself that was dirty, covered in food, grease and dirty finger marks. I had to sanitise and wipe it down myself. The table was also sticky. As I went to order online, I couldn’t select a sauce as it was out of stock and I couldn’t proceed without clicking a sauce, so I had to go to the bar. After waiting at the bar I was served, I put my arm on the bar and my jumper was soaked, there is nothing worse than a wet bar, the entire bar was soaked. When food arrived, the chips were freezing cold and the burgers were black from being severely burnt, the bun was like a rock, could barely cut through it it was that hard. The only nice part was the side of garlic bread. No one came around to ask if our meal was okay - even though we could hear other tables being asked. Overall, a very disappointed experience from start to finish with service, to hygiene to food, and I will not be returning. After spending over £30 on a meal that wasn’t even edible, sat on a sticky table that we had to wait for, a disgustingly dirty high chair, jumper soaked in wet from the bar, a silly online service that doesn’t even work, and not asked if the food was okay due to ignorant and rude staff. Something needs to be done here, I thought this was a reputable pub, this is why I come here. But sadly my Sunday has been ruined. We are still hungry and angry with our visit. Would NOT recommend and WILL NOT be returning.
1st Time and real enjoyed. Very Busy pub, friendly Bar Staff/Waitress and they serve Peroni
Great friendly pub. We stopped here for some dinner after a day of mountain biking. They have a large selection of meals available on the menu, decent size portions at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Went to the Wednesday curry night - very good value and the curry was delicious. Been to the Ty Nant before. - our waitress Ellie was absolutely lovely. Very friendly, attentive and can’t do enough for you. She’s is a real asset.
Basic pub grub. Chicken and bacon salad needs a decent dressing not just a splash of cheap olive oil. We were told after placing this review there was salad dressings available but it would have been nice to have been offered it. Good selection of beers. Friendly staff
Lovely pub. Terrible food, Table of 4 booked for a Saturday evening, we had items missing from our plates, overcooked food, undercooked food and cold sides dishes. Didn't come back any better after being returned to the kitchen. Only giving 2 stars as one for the decor/ambience and one for the lovely waiter who I felt very sorry for having to serve the awful food and put up with very unhappy customers.
