Decent pub grub. The gammon was good quality and the chips excellent. Daily specials available such as burger Tuesday etc. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The beer garden especially looked nice on a sunny day Lots of cyclists and old regulars here having a beer. Good lunch option
Had a Nachos for 2 and couldn't believe how little you get for over £7!!! Looked quite pathetic to be quite honest It was supposed to be layered in cheddar but i couldn't find any! Not impressed at all Lewis Arms you could do Much better On a plus point the coffee was delicious
The Lewis Arms is conveniently near Castle Coch for meals. Website looks good so having never been our group if 3 adults and 3 children went for late lunch. No reservations were necessary when I called the day before. The food was fine. Good choices especially for the 3 children but also for adults. The vegetarian burger lovely. My criticism would be the food took ages to prepare whether the late lunches or desserts. There is a small outside deck no views of anything with 3 picnic tables and umbrellas. Unless we missed something you pay for parking in their parking lot on site. It's a Brains pub. Staff were kind. Also the disabled / baby changing / family toilet the door will not open once locked. We ended up knocking on the door to get someone to let us out. Would we visit again is the question. Food was fine but so long to reach us.
After not visiting the Lewis Arms for around 5 years, it’s finally a place I enjoy being at again! The last few times I’ve visited the atmosphere between the locals and the people passing by has been amazing and it’s so nice to see everyone socialising together! The food is great and the staff are really helpful and friendly. With something different going on everyday there is enough to accommodate everyone. It’s so nice to see the Lewis arms finally reaching its potential! I will definitely be back!
We had a lovely couple of hours here last Monday. A slick service and a warm welcome, we had walked miles. The food was good especially the Glamorgan sausages and our dogs were made very welcome too. We'll be back.
Managed to get a table for 11 people very last minute, everyone was happy, food was perfect, especially the fish. Service was amazing I will defiantly be returning and recommending.
Service was slow, probably under staffed. Nice thing they cater for dogs. However, the tank for dog water was empty. Likely, not topped up for the day. Otherwise, anything else was okay a d would recommend it to everyone.
Just a drink with friends, but pleasant atmosphere. Seemed a good range of drinks on display. Some had food which was reported as good!! Will return sometime!!
Called in for a casual drink won't be going again. To clicky was more or less told to go in the other bar very unfriendly, unless your local beer glasses dirty look like they came out of the ark Horrible atmosphere disgusting behaviour for a public house
Lovely evening spent here, great atmosphere, friendly service, food was excellent and hot. Would definitely visit here again.
