Good local pub serving a range of beers, wines, spirits and other drinks. Has a decent menu of pub food and service is usually pretty speedy even at busy times. Televisions show sport but don't dominate the whole pub. You can play darts and other games or relax in a quieter corner. The pub is popular with a wide age range. You can get in with wheelchairs but may need help with the double doors.

5 of us ate here had a very pleasant evening. The atmosphere was relaxed, staff were helpful and the food was great. We all had something different and had meat eaters and veggies and all of us enjoyed our meals. Fresh hot food and good value. Would definitely recommend.

The TURNPIKE is a friendly, welcoming pub. I have never experienced bad service , tne staff that have always been understanding and helpful to the needs of my disabled son. Great place.

The Turnpike is a friendly pub and usually fairly quiet so it's nice to spend time here chatting to friends. The food is always good so me and my partner like to enjoy a meal here together. There's a dartboard and a couple of games/betting machines to keep you entertained, and the tables now have USB charging sockets on them which is great!

Nice pub. Good ales reasonably priced. Sport and entertainment. No beer garden.
